If you like rude service this is your place! I was in there the other day and went on a whim just to see what the place was like. I ordered some things from the deli, I think I was being helped by one of the owners. He was so rude no smile just gave me looks like I was not worth 2 cents! I had my hand out to receive my order and he kind of threw it on the counter. He and a few others behind the counter have major attitudes!! News flash your business and your products are not that special that you need to act like people are beneath you! I kept my cool and was very polite but I would rather spend my money elsewhere where I am not made to feel like a 2nd class citizen. Caputos in addison has better quality deli meats anyway that are truly imported. Frankies says they are imported (so they can charge double) but I dont believe they are just by the taste they also remove the lables and dont tell you the brand. Growing up in an Italian household being 1st generation I know what the good quality taste like. Do better! Treat your customers with respect a little kindness goes a long way especially with the way the world is today. Sad that your business and your employees lack respect...
Read moreTheir customer service is a joke. We ordered a sandwich platter for a party. When I arrived to pick up the order i immediately noticed how unfriendly and unwelcoming the men there are. I paid and left. When I got home I noticed the receipt had 8 charges for "hi tax", "lo tax" "tax 1" and "tax 2". When I called for an explanation the man was extremely rude saying "yeah you pay tax on each sandwich". Well usually receipts say what the item is, not just types of tax so I'm sure you can understand my confusion because $5 in tax for a $5 sandwich makes no sense. The man on the phone was extremely argumentative I heard him say "oh my God" in annoyance under his breath. He was annoyed that we just gave him $90 for some sandwiches lol. It took way too long for him to explain to me that what looked like $40 tax on the receipt for one sandwich platter was in fact charges for additional sandwiches. It all got resolved, and I thanked the man for his explanation, and he just slammed the phone down. So basically if you are fine with rude unhelpful service and over priced sandwiches, and hearing about how annoying it is to receive your business, this is the...
Read moreI live by the deli, and eat here frequently. I usually get subs, but tend to stock up on cool little groceries while I'm there. My 5 star review is based solely off my experiences there, and the experiences I know will come. First, I like the selection. It feels traditional & authentic, yet appeals to a modern market of buyers. Although the Pete's fresh (a specialty grocery store,) is down the street, I find better Italian imports here, and that "grandma's cooking" in the freezers. Cant find that at the big chain grovers. The sandwich service is prompt, focused on the customer, and delivers with a satisfactory quality every-time. I like how the line moves quickly. I was even helped to the car with my groceries when I found myself on crutches at one point. They also have a good wine selection at competitive prices. I tend to get a bottle of pinot grigio to pair with the light, yet filling, Italian sub. Going to enjoy some espresso now, and and a Mini Panettone...
