Shame on you......At the request of my 8 year old daughter, who requested Dennys before heading to the museum. We visited your location on Oakland Park Blvd and Powerline Rd. While walking into the restaurant, myself and my 3 young daughters (1, 5, and 8) were greeted at the front door by what appeared to be a mentally unstable homeless man. I remained calm and hurried into the restaurant with my children in front of me. While waiting to be seated I noticed the homeless man was attempting to enter the establishment. I moved away from the front door and ensured that my children were on the safer side of me. The homeless man entered the restaurant which brought my anxiety to a high especially because I had my children with me in the front where this man who visibly was mentally unstable. The young woman at the front was attending to a guest and was not paying attention to what was unfolding. I politely said excuse me, you have a situation that requires your immediate attention.........I tried to notify the worker because at this point the homeless man had entered the restaurant and harassing seated customers. Then you work, who was later identified as "Macy"....very loudly and disrespectfully responded and said DONT TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB. So me warning a store employee/ Manger of danger.....us me telling them how to do there job?????? lol.... With the shortage of emoyees......it would have serve your company better to buy 🤖 or a kiosk where customers could place there order. I still stayed about 10 minutes to be seated but the more and more what transpired sunk in.... I had to leave and take my business elsewhere. You could definitely do without Macy at this location. She is extremely rude and very much unprofessional. I requested to speak to a Manger and she said she was the manager....You guys cannot be this desperate as to hiring individuals who could careless about the safety of customers and employees.......this was a disgusting, disappointing, dangerous, and...
Read moreVisited 10/30/24 around 11:30pm. The short older man that was (supposed to be) taking orders needs rehab!!!! I placed an online order & sat inside to wait for it. The entire 20-25 minutes we waited he did no work. He'd ask gow can I help you & when u start placing the order he leaves the counter & says things like, "I dont know what you're talking about" or "Im not even supposed to be here, I just got here" Then he goes outside the door to the left, sits on a window sill or bench, takes a smashed pack of cigarettes out of his pocket & hots ait a couple times before coming back on to pack food. No hand wash, sanitization or anything!! On a few occasions whatever he was smoking was stashed in a corner right outside the door. He took a couple hits of something that was not a cigarette, while drinking what appears to be coffee (Im sure it contained some type of alcohol) At one point he was aggressively punching things on the register screen. There were no customers. He was EXTREMELY weird & out of it. I watched him for a good half hour while waiting for my food. He went outside over 6 times. Taking hits , shots, talking to himself & purposely not helping customers including myself. He asked if we were dining in, when I said we have an online order he shot from behind the counter & out the door saying I don know what you're talking about. I wasnt sure what was going on until I sat & observed all I mentioned above. His mouth was twitching & all. I DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT HE WAS BAGGING MY FOOD , but didn't have the energy to complain. I was only here this late because I spent the day moving. He placed the bag on the counter & walked out of sight. Maybe outside. 2 seconds later I needed jelly& had to wait to get it from the others that are actually working. Wish I...
Read moreI hereby bestow a rating of three stars upon this establishment. My last visit to a Denny's occurred over five years ago. On this particular occasion, Gabby acted as my server. Her gentle and courteous demeanor captivated me, notwithstanding the boisterous and unprofessional conduct exhibited by the manager. Gabby welcomed me and proceeded to serve me throughout my dining experience.
With a pleasant smile, Gabby took my order. Following the placement of my order, I patiently awaited my appetizer while engaging in conversations on my mobile device. I opted to defer my drink order until the arrival of my meal, as I prefer not to consume beverages without accompanying food. Nevertheless, the manager approached Gabby and a colleague in a loud and intrusive manner, casting a gaze upon me as though I were loitering within her establishment. The words she directed towards the employee regarding me proved to be offensive.
Possessing a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management, one tends to scrutinize even the minutest details of customer service as a significant reflection of the managerial team's professionalism. Not being a native Floridian, I am unfamiliar with their customs. I am merely a visitor to Fort Lauderdale, Florida until November 24. Despite this, I would never enter this establishment again.
Thank you, Gabby, for your genuine hospitality!
