I didn't have a horrible experience, but it wasn't necessarily the pinnacle of restaurant customer service. I ate there about two months ago. The young gentleman server was sincerely nice and helpful and was one of the positives of my personal experience. I usually order something like a Beef Lomo Saltado or a Bistec. I was going to order the Saltado, but honestly I was swayed from that decision after reading some reviews about their version. I went ahead and ordered their bistec, as the server informed me that there was a little more meat on it than the Lomo Saltado. When I got my Bistec dish, not only did it have fries on it (I didn't want fries, and it was described on the menu as having no fries; the server swore that the menu displayed it, but he checked and found out I was right), but the amount of meat was so small. It was literally a strip of meat 4" x 3", and it was under a 1/4" thick! The sad thing was that the dish tasted amazing. If the Bistec had that tiny slice of meat, I wonder how much meat was on their Saltado! With a Coke, I paid $28...I pay almost the same amount or just a little bit higher over at Lima in Concord (I usually ask for double the meat, and they charge me $5 to $6 extra, which is totally fine) and I get a lot more food with greater quality. The picture posted on here looked a hell of a lot better than what came on my plate. Did the cook just give up when they were making my order? After eating, I was just...annoyed. I was still hungry, but I didn't want to spend any more money there. I asked to use their restroom, which was all the way in the back by their nightclub/stage (!). The final straw was that the men's room had a hand dryer that pointed so close to the counter...but it didn't work. Naturally, they didn't have any paper towels or anything either. Yeah. So that's how that went, and I'm probably not going back there for a while, if ever again.

Read moreMy husband and I wanted to try a new place, and since we both don't eat Peruvian food very often, we gave this place a shot.
The decor is super modern and trendy, which is nice. They have a large bar with plenty of seating. The server was friendly and prompt. Most entrees are around $21 to $24, but the vegetarian ones are $14.
I ordered the parihuela, a type of fisherman stew. My husband ordered the saltado de vegetables, which is the vegetarian version of the saltado. We also got fried plantains to share.
The food came out quickly. I am not familiar with Peruvian food, but was surprised that my stew was more like a soup (broth was not thick or hearty, but more thin), which of course is not the restaurant's fault but just my ignorance. It was however, very tasty, and had fresh fish, shrimp, and shellfish. It filled me up, despite looking deceptively small. My husband enjoyed his saltado, and we got the plantains for free!
It was a nice meal, and we enjoyed it. Not sure this will make our usual rotation, but I would probably come back to...
Read moreThe service was top notch. We told our waiter this one was our first time and he explained the menu for both food and drinks. He also opened the door for us when we exited. Service definitely gets 5 stars.
However, there’s something wrong with the price on the menu vs what you will be charged. We ordered from the lunch especial menu which says items were $ 17.99 but we were charged 20 for one item and 18 for other two dishes. And the beverages were supposed be $4 based on the menu but were charged $6. May be they updated the price and forgot to update the menu?
Anyways two of the dishes fried rice and Marinated pork dishes were very salty. The bed of pasta with fish was very good but I wished the fish was basked instead deep fried. Purple corn drink was pretty good the waiter said it will be sweet and it was. If you don’t have a sweet tooth, you don’t probably want it.
Will try again sometime...
