Ratto's — Restaurant in Oakland

I really want to love Rattos and I have given them many opportunities, but unfortunately every single time we have, likely about 10x since 2018, our sandwiches are made as if the person who constructed it has never made a sandwich in their life. It's either missing ingredients, sloppily made, skimpy with add-ons... the list goes on. I don't like to post negative reviews, and I deeply value local establishments, so I really hope this encourages them to make some changes. Looks like it’s a store with a nice little standard selection, of specialty Italian foods.. (most you can find at Whole Foods) Unfortunately during the five minutes we stood at the counter with our six items, we were never helped, and an older woman approached, allowed a group to check out in front of us, (who were not there when we walked up) and then proceeded to ignore us entirely. She didn’t even make eye contact or say she would be right with us. We returned our bread, gelatos, and sausages to the shelf and left. A specialty store should have better...

Absolutely one of the best cold cut deli sandwich places around. Not only that but the staff here is absolutely minted. I've been coming here for so so long with my family it's not even funny. They also offer their own crafted olive oil and balsamic vinegars. You can buy meat by the pound, cheese by the pound, pre-made fruit salads, and chicken or tuna salad.
