I visited Big Burrito for the first time today, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. While the flavor of the food was decent, everything else fell short—especially the customer service and the pricing. First off, the prices are extremely high for what you get. My family of five usually eats at Chipotle or Moe’s for about half the cost, and those places are much more generous with their portions. At Big Burrito, most of the plate was just rice, and the rest of the ingredients were given in tiny scoops—barely a tablespoon each. It felt like we were paying premium prices for budget portions. The service made the experience even worse. I mentioned it was my first time there, hoping for a little guidance, but the staff seemed rushed and impatient. Instead of walking me through the menu, they pushed me to order quickly. The server rushed my plate through the line so fast I barely had a chance to ask for what I wanted, and when I did try to add something, it was met with a bad attitude. My sister ordered nachos, and her plate was genuinely sad—almost no cheese and barely any toppings. Just dry chips. I later asked for a side of tortillas, and instead of bringing them to the table as promised, the server shouted “TORTILLAS” across the restaurant, dropped them on the counter, and said, “I’m just gonna leave them there.” Not exactly what you expect from a business that wants customers to return. Overall, this place is not worth your time or money. The lack of care and passion from the staff is evident and honestly radiates through the whole experience. I won’t be coming back.

I don't know what's happening around the Gainesville area lately (Oakwood, Flowery Branch, Braselston) but we seem to be getting more and more food spots that are simply magnificent. Not only are these spots providing amazing food but their service leaves you with a smile by the time you leave. @bigburritosmg in Flowery Branch (really on the Oakwood side) kept it simple.... Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and tortas. As you can see.... I've had them all because I wanted to tell you whether or not they are good. Yes, they are all good 😂 If I'm being honest I think the least favorite was the torta but that's only because the tortilla you get your tacos, burrito and quesadilla on is AMAZING. Freshly made every day and very very thin, it just makes a huge difference. Their nachos are excellent as well because their chips are fresh and well made. Don't be like me and act all surprised when you get the burrito and see how huge it is... no wonder this place is called BIG BURRITO 🙌 Do yourself a favor and stop by and get you something, anything!! The inside is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. #rolieats #goodfood #goodeats #rolireview #flowerybranch #bigburritos #tacos #quesadilla #nachos #tortas #mexicanfood #northgeorgia #happybelly #thisburritoishuge #noregrets

I first visited Big Burritos with a friend back in 2021 when they first opened. I was amazed with the transformation from what used to be a Wendy’s location into a Mexican restaurant. I was impressed with the burritos as it truly was as advertised: Big. Big in size, portions and overall taste! 3 years later, I decided to go back and see how the place has fared since then. I was surprised to see that they are already open at 10:30 am. The interior and atmosphere is as vibrant as I remembered. They also have additional items in the menu such as birria bowls, torta sandwiches, and enchiladas. I decided to order a burrito to go. For my protein, I went with Al pastor. With it was added cilantro-lime rice, lettuce, black beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, Pick De Gallo and Salsa Roja. Service was excellent with person behind the line putting all the ingredients together and folding/packing the burrito. When I took that first bite after returning home, I knew I had made the right combination. The burritos here are the type to eat slow and enjoy rather than scarf it down. With a continuous customer base, changing menu and also food truck services it’s safe to say the Big Burritos has worked its way to being a food staple in the Oakwood/Flowery Branch area.

This family operated eatery has been in business for years as "El Griton", operating a store front on Atlanta Hwy and food trucks. Their restaurant was rated number 1 in Gainesville, GA. Since early February 2021, Gainesville's loss is Flowery Branch's best new place to eat authentic Mexican food.

The new restaurant features dine-in, take out and drive thru. All the food is made to order, in a Chipotle or Moe's type experience. But this is far, far better experience since they prepare everything from scratch. They are even making their own sauces and 18" tortillas. I went for the burrito and my wife had one of their standard dinners. Both were excellent, and prepared to our specs while we waited. Serving sizes were more than adequate.

The new location affords generous private parking and easy access, directly across Mundy Mill from Milton Martin Toyota. The new dining area was very clean and all Covid precautions were observed, including generous table spacing. The menu is equally divided between traditional street food (burritos and tacos) and set dinners. Drinks and deserts are available. We arrived at 11:30 on a Wednesday and were surprised to see the dining room bustling, and the kitchen equally busy with take-out orders by 12. So business is already booming only 3 weeks after opening. All in all, an excellent...
