Waffle House — Restaurant in Oakwood

I walked in at 9:30 this evening for a takeout order. That’s when a employee informed me that they weren’t taking any orders due to the fact they were 2nd shift and waiting on 3rd shift and simply couldn’t take anymore orders. They only had 3 customers in the restaurant. I then called in to ask for the managers name. She was not pleasant on the phone while she yelled at a gentleman named JD that he was the manager and had to take my call. JD was pleasant on the phone and gave me his name with out question and we ended the call politely. This is a 24hr establishment is why I went in. We eat there multiple times a month and have never been met with this type of service. Honestly speaking be patient with the service because when i was there they were over packed and they were trying their best to service all their customers and some of the customers would sit in a table that was dirty before the service had a chance to clean these tables braking in line because they didn't want to wait in line like the rest of the patient people that were waiting i was just waiting to make an order to go so i didn't care about a table once they were finally able to serve me they felt bad about me having to wait so long that they tried their best to make it right but i understand they had gotten overwhelmed and stressed out just try and please be some...

As we sat down to eat, a young Spanish family was coming out of the bathrooms and left. An employee followed them outside into the parking lot and began to berate them for using the restroom without ordering any food. Before going outside she made a comment that she was tired of people using the restroom like a rest stop.They had very young children who needed the bathroom. This was not a good first impression.
