UPDATE: The owner response states thanks for letting us correct the problem. Why ? You never fixed the problem. If you think I should have sat there again, in that filthy place, and waited for a pro to get it right the 2nd time, lol. The new management has destroyed a great local place. We had the Wolfy burgers,(comes to you grey), so medium, etc ... Is irrelevant. Been coming here for 14 years. Grey is all you get. With that said, still a decent burger. We added American cheese, ask for pickle,(or you don't get it) extra crispy fries (not so crispy) side of brown gravy,(came hot and delicious). Not a fan of the bun. It flattens in your hand and the bottom is a thin as cardboard in a minute. I resort to eating it upside down, to maintain control of it. lol. L Just water with lemon, to drink. Although their soda and other drinks are good too. Overall, a very hometown feeling and a consistently reliable place to have Breakfast or Lunch. I have never been there for dinner. Update: 1/28/25 waited 10 minutes for a waitress, while seated. Floors were filthy. 30 minute wait for bacon cheeseburger, crispy bacon, well done fries, and pickle, with brown gravy on the side. We also ordered chicken tenders with fries. We received the most burnt, well done, shriveled flattened hockey puck of a burger, rubbery bacon, small portions of fries, almost fully cooked (waitress even said I will have him drop more fries) without us saying anything about it. No pickle. Warmish brown gravy. But the chicken tenders looked properly done. We left, after seeing such a lack of caring. Update: After over 15 years of good service, this was a sign that the business was failing in many areas. Sorry, but I won't be wasting money here again....
Read moreVery friendly and attentive staff. Lots of home cooked options with a regular daily special, and ever changing daily specials on the board. They also have plenty of burger and sandwich options. We tried the potato skins appetizer, they were okay, but we prefer the kind that are fried a bit to give a crispy skin. These were more just baked with cheese, with sour cream and a bowl of Bacon crumbles on the side. Turns out an appetizer really wasn't necessary. The food came out too quick to really eat more than about one skin apiece, which was plenty concerning the amount of food that was on my plate. I ordered the regular daily special of pot roast w/carrots, green beans, and mashed potatoes w/gravy. My wife ordered the quarter roasted chicken (dark meat), and she chose sides of slaw and fried okra. We each got cornbread muffins, which were huge, and more of a sweet bread, than the southern cornbread I'm used to. It was good, just not the style I prefer. The pot roast easily covered half of my large oval plate. It was very flavorful as was the mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans were good but not as good as Cracker Barrel. My wife said her chicken was very good, the slaw was also good, but she didn't like the okra. She said it tasted like it hadn't been cooked enough. Again, not as good as Cracker Barrel. We really did enjoy the meal, the friendly staff, and the atmosphere of a local diner. They also had a large selection of desserts including a strawberry shortcake that looked delicious, but we didn't try dessert. We should have skipped the appetizer and saved room...

A small side of grits, 1 English muffin and 2 pieces of bacon cost me $9. No eggs. My eggs were sent back TWICE for having soot on the bottom of them (The soot is from the cook placing an unclean pan into a clean pan and it leaves a carbon ring due to the gas burner.)
Whoever the lead cook is... he's rude to the staff back there and you can clearly see the cooks fumbling out of frustration. You can here him yelling at the cooks and servers, he has a boisterous voice.
As a former short order breakfast cook and chef, the whole scenario was disappointing to see.
I was comped $1 for the eggs. Paid $21 for 1 side of grits, 1 English muffin, 2 strips of bacon, 2 pancakes, a lemonade and a cranberry juice.
On the receipt/ticket it showed my $5.95 meal, my $2 pancakes my $2.25 English muffin and my 2 drinks... at $2.65 that's $15.50...but the server took my ticket, went and crossed out the meal price and wrote $9 on it...... again... I paid $9 for 1 English muffin, 1 SMALL side of grits and 2 straps of bacon. If my math is mathing right.... it would have been cheaper to ring up each item separately than into a meal since I didn't even receive eggs. Either way, I was charged double for something (I'm assuming pancakes and English muffin) and no one could comprehend why I was confused at paying $21 for something that was only $15.50.
I was recently at a competitor and paid $21 for amazing food, better food and great service.
I advised the cashier I'd be writing a bad review because that's ridiculous math...
