I was so excited to go here. I haven't hung at a Denny's since my high school years. I was going to show my kids how amazing a Denny's could be at making you feel at home, keeping your coffee filled, water too. Instead, we didn't get one refill. A table of 6. Our waitress didn't know the menu. I wanted fried potatoes, peppers, and chorizo. I ordered the dinner skillet. She said it wasn't gluten-free. I asked what about it wasn't because I wanted those potatoes, peppers, and chorizo. She said she didn't know. I changed my order to salmon, fried red potatoes, and a side salad to be "gluten-free." My meal came out with gluten all over! Tons of croutons and bread! Then she didn't check on us. My daughter wanted to order more. All of our cups were empty. One kid wanted desert. We sat with empty plates and cups for 10 minutes. Then she came to check on us. No coffee pot in hand. She said, "Anything else?" At that poiny I just wanted out. We took the bill, and I only gave a 10% tip. It hurt so bad. I lived on tips at one point and believe in the 20% for sit down, take out, or delivery. People's time is worth money. They live on tips. But, we were ignored. Our concerns, allergies, bellies, and thirst were ignored completely! I can get past the gluten and menu mess up, but please pay us some attention! The bathrooms were horrible. No seat covers or soap. Over filled trash can and trash all...
Read moreWe are out of towners but have been to OC enough to call it a second home. The location is awesome. We had a bad 1st experience at this Dennys in October when we waited almost 20 minutes for the hostess to finish "catching up" with another patron.
We visited again, hoping the experience would be better. The waitress seemed to enjoy my children but the customer service was eh. My husband HATES scrambled eggs... The smell, the sight, the word...
He ordered pancakes, ham, and hasbrowns - with 3 separate "no eggs" reminders. His meal came out and it looked great. About 3 bites in he noticed what was at least 1 full scrambled egg hidden under his hasbrowns and ham. We brought it to the waitress' attention and before apologizing, she asked ,"well is it an allergy?". I think it was obvious it was not (as he ordered pancakes) but we confirmed for her that it was not.
She offered to replace it as long as we "give [her] the original plate first". I began handing her the plate but my husband insisted he was done eating from there. We left and tipped generously as she did well with my and my boys' food, but I wanted to share my experience.
Hopefully, this review can improve customer service and more importantly - help this establishment avoid a serious/avoidable medical...
Read moreOh good god, where to start, the 30 minute wait for service, the rude manager or, the fly in my syrup, so I was in ocean city for senior week and me and a couple friends went out to try and find a party at like 1 am because that's just what you do on sweek, when we got the the place where it was the party had been shut down like many were so we went to the denny's right next door to get foor, we were there for 30 minutes before our waitress even asked us for drink orders and then another 15 at least before we got our food ordered, the manager had a customer who complained about the wait and instead of apologizing for it and telling them someone would be right there, he litterally told the customer to leave if he was gonna be in such a hurry so early in the morning, and then when the food was finally brought out, i went to pour some syrup for my pancakes, and a fly, that was still alive and moving, came out with the syrup, i immediately called the waitress over and instead of offering to get new ones and refund them or something, she said "yeah they've been a big problem this year, so do you want some new pancakes or something?" I immediately said yes and that was by far the worst service I've ever had, i do not recommend it, no matter how drunk or...
