I'm going to start off by saying the food was good. Not phenomenal, but good. It may have been better if it was hot instead of luke warm. My low rating is based solely on customer service. We were down OC for Ocean's Calling. We walked back from the inlet in a flood of water and rain. When we got back, I ordered a large pizza and some bacon cheese fries. That was at 1157pm. The ETA for delivery was 1am. Not a big deal. It's one of the only places open that late that deliver and I knew the weather was bad. Well, 1am came and went. Okay, not a big deal. 130 came around and I started to get concerned. I tried to call the shop and it goes to a voice mailbox. So, at this point, I reach out to Slice support and let them know what's going on. They say they can't reach the shop either. They can ask for a refund from the shop tomorrow when they're open. I assure the support rep they are open. So I decided to drive to the store since it's only 7 streets away. That equated to a two minute drive. An hour delivery wait, that has turned into two hours and they're only two minutes away. So I go into the store and let them know I never got my food. No one knows why. They told me the delivery driver just left with it. They show me the GPS on their side and say he's at the motel I was staying. The man I was talking to said he'd call the driver and say I'm coming to meet him. I'm standing there to confirm that he's there and waiting to meet me. The guy gets off the phone and never comes back to talk to me to tell me this. Finally I look at one of the girls at the front counter and ask them if that driver is actually there and should I go. They ask the guy who called the driver and he essentially said yeah he's there. So I drive back to the motel and guess who isn't there waiting for me? It's now 205am. I go into the motel room and get in touch with Slice support again and update them in everything that's happened. While I'm doing that, the delivery driver calls me and asks me to meet him in the parking lot. So I walk outside and wait a couple minutes. He walks over and brings me my pizza and almost forgot to give me my fries. Around 230am I have my luke warm food. The next morning I contact Slice support and ask them for a refund or discount of some sort. At least a refund of the delivery fee and tip. The support rep I was chatting with said the manager of the shop refused any of that because "they tried to call me and I didn't answer." Blatant lie. Slice can't do anything. I guess they're not like GrubHub or Door Dash. So there you have it. If you order from this place, especially delivery, I hope you have a better...
Read moreWe come here every time we're in Ocean City and the food never disappoints. Except this time the kids pizza was disgusting and the old bay fries had way too much seasoning on them. I felt they just dumped a whole bunch on top trying to mask the disgusting soggy fries. My husband loved his cheese steak and cheese cake so thats why I gave a few stars. They also forgot our drinks and I had to remind the girl. Prices are a little high but that's to be expected at any vacation spot. Also a lot of younger girls working in there and I work in the food service industry as well. They could act like they care a little more about the customers and be more welcoming and friendly. First impressions make a lasting mark and 🤐. It seems it's like that with this new generation. She proceeds to tell us not to order the fries because the kitchen is very backed up and don't know how long it will take. And they act like this is new information. So we order our 2 pizzas. How on God's green earth would fries take longer then 2 pizzas to make. Then we ordered drinks which we had to order twice because the cashier was to distracted to hear us place our order the first time. Then the lady said oh.... It's cheaper to get a 2 liter then to get the individual sodas. I understand trying to save the customer money but in turn your costing your company/employer money. First time and last time we will make a visit here. Very bad experience not a good way to make a first impression. Rated best in ocean city against what???? Dominos, papa John's and pizza hut???
