We visited the restaurant today, party of 13; however, there was a limited amount of seating. We offered to break up into small groups, waitresses did not even need to spit up the bill because we offered to pay by table. We had three separate waitresses. We asked about happy hour and the waitress told us it was from 2-5, but at the bar. We ordered drinks at the table because we were told that we couldn’t participate in happy hour because we opted to sit at a table. How ridiculous! A beer for us was $6.50 but $3.00 at the bar in which we offered to walk over and get our own. Our waitress was young and fairly busy. One guest in our party ran out of ranch for her sandwich so eventually we flagged down another waitress and asked for another small cup of ranch, not a big deal. When our waitress returned we told her and she said it would be an extra $0.50, so after the wait we politely said just forget it. The other waitress returned and sat it on the table only for our waitress to pick it up and basically rub it in our face about the up charge. In the end we find that we were charged 18% gratuity, for what I am not sure! I really hope your service is better quality than ours. Completely disappointed especially for a place that we have supported many years! I hope Madelyn is not...
Read moreWe went to eat here for the second time while we were on vacation. The friendly waitress and delicious food brought us back. Although this time the experience wasn't as pleasant. The manager wasn't in the best of moods and I could definitely see that. I asked her if they did anything for birthdays as it was my little girls 6th birthday all she said was "no we don't and shook her head". So we sat down and looked at the menu. My kiddos had their kids menus but no crayons. I went up to the host stand and asked the host if she had crayons for the kids and she said no but looked around and found two dry erase markers in the drawer and handed them to me with a smile. As I walked away the same manager followed me and took the markers away saying they aren't allowed to have them because other children have marked the walls and benches and so on but she wasn't nice about it at all. Why have kids menus then with coloring and activities when they can't even have crayons to write on them? I grabbed two pens out of my purse and that kept them occupied, thanks! Rude management I work in the restaurant industry here in NY and your customer service skills are very poor. If it wasn't for the delicious food and great wait staff we wouldn't be...
Read moreA great experience. We had a wonderful server who was sweet, direct, and very helpful. My wife wanted to order pasta salad and was real with us a suggested she have the waffle fries instead which was a great suggestion. We tried to explain that we were in a bit of a hurry and she said she doesn’t have much control over it because of the kitchen but will but everything in right away so that we had time. She did everything we asked pretty much right away and apologized if she didn’t get us out soon enough but we assured her she did perfectly. The food is impressive for the dive-bar vibe it gives; my friend ordered a salad that looked like it belonged in a much nicer restaurant, and the bacon they use on the sandwiches is like crack it’s so delicious, and I got to experience crab dip on a burger. In honesty the burger was overcooked to what I said (medium well) but it had a perfect char on it that made it even more tasty so I really couldn’t complain. To top it all off, they had fun drink names for those with dirty minds and fun little containers for kid’s meals that made me wish I was a kid so I could have one too. Would absolutely love to...
