I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical when I wandered into Crepe Daddy, located conveniently on the boardwalk. As someone who typically sticks to the classic sweet crepe, the idea of a "BBQ Chicken Crepe" had me scratching my head. But let me tell you, this place knows how to defy expectations.

The view from my table was lovely - I'm talking beach vibes, ocean breezes, the whole nine yards. And the prices? Reasonable enough that I didn't have to take out a second mortgage just to enjoy my lunch.

But the real star of the show was that BBQ Chicken Crepe. The moment I unrolled that delicate, golden-brown crepe, the aroma of spicy bbq sauce and tender chicken hit me like a much-needed wake-up call. I dove in, fully prepared for a mess, and boy! did I get one. But you know what they say, "No risk, no reward" - and the reward here was a flavor explosion that left my taste buds doing cartwheels.

What a treat! Delicious warm drinks and crepes on a brisk morning. Service is not fast, but it was courteous and customer service oriented. The two young gentleman operating the establishment at 11am—ish on a February Sunday morning were friendly and accommodating to a milk allergy. The cashier suggested a gluten free crepe - which is also dairy free. We ordered oat milk chai, Colombian coffee, Rachel’s crepe & a gluten-free banana, strawberry Nutella crepe. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. My wife liked the gluten-free crepe and really enjoyed her chai. The strawberries were not as ripe as one would prefer - to be expected with fruit out of its season. The coffee was great. Rachel’s crepe contains ham, Swiss, & sauerkraut drizzled with thousand island dressing. It struck me a curious combo, and I found it to be curiously delicious. Flavors & textures presented a pleasing balance. The savor of the ham , creaminess of Swiss cheese, were cleverly contrasted with a bit of sour, varying texture, and a hint of sweet in the dressing. Let me start by saying I used to make crepes myself, so my crepe standards are very high. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the quality, appearance, taste and softness of these crepes. I’ve had crepes at other places and after just a couple of minutes the outer layers become hard, but these crepes, in their entirety, STAYED SOFT the entire time we ate. My family and I went there for breakfast during the off-season and we tried the “OG”, the “Bacon Scrambs” and the “Nutella Berries Waffle”. All three of these selections were amazing! The prices were in-line with your typical eateries here in Ocean City. I also got the “Dirty Banana” milk shake and that was smooth, sweet and very tasty. Everything we ordered looked like it was straight out of a food magazine and I can’t say enough about how everything tasted. BEST tasting food I’ve had in Ocean City.
