Game Theory Board Games & Coffee — Restaurant in Ocean City

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem. As usual, we were looking for an early morning coffee spot. We happened upon this place after our morning walk on the boardwalk. It’s located in a strip mall so there’s plenty of parking. The outside is nothing to write home about but the inside wow floor to ceiling mirrors, beautiful marble and wood table tops and soft upholstered chairs. Very welcoming. We were greeted with an enthusiastic good morning by the owner manager, a young man with a big smile. We of course asked if the coffee was organic and he proceeded to show us the bags of coffee that said “organic” on them. The coffee was bright and bold and hot and fresh. Delicious! Highly recommend the coffee and the atmosphere was amazing and the service was even better than that. You can pay $5 to sit and play board games for as long as you like, a nice date place option. I would give 4.5 stars. We got 2 Iced Caramel Lattes, and they were made perfectly.

We thought to play a quick game because we had a few minutes to spare, however we chose not to because $5 per person is a good chunk of change even for a few minutes for only 2 of us. Understandably it is for unlimited play for the hour. Maybe if it was $5 per couple (because most all games require two individuals), we would’ve considered it. Or even if there was a pay differential for if there’s 3 people - where it could be an extra $3 for that 3rd individual (so it’s $8 for the 3 to play for the hour). This is where I would take that .5 star off.

All in all, it is a great concept! The price of food/drink was reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant, I would recommend this...

Game Theory Board Games & Coffee is a gem of a place. This quiet, relaxed spot is perfect for anyone looking to unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly, and Tabby, in particular, stands out for being exceptionally nice and super helpful.

The selection of board games is impressively large, catering to all tastes and preferences. The furniture is beautiful, adding to the cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay longer.

There truly is no other place like it. The prices are great, making it accessible for everyone. If six stars were an option, that’s what I'd give it.

It's definitely on our list of places to stop at again. If we lived here, my fiancé and I would come every morning....
