Ate here 3 times while on a recent trip. Twice, the pizza and service were good, not great. However, apparently they don't know how to deal with someone who doesn't like their food. I ordered chicken tenders because I wanted to eat something small. The outside of them looked like they had been fried once then refried an hour later, both times in overly-dirty grease. They had weird discoloration including really dark spots and really light (almost white) spots on the breading (wish I had taken a picture), and the inside looked like a poor excuse for the quality of chicken meat you'd find in a McDonalds chicken nugget (plenty of connective tissue and other unknown parts).
I'd be fine with this issue if the waitress had addressed it and replaced the chicken with something else - their pizza is pretty good, after all. However, not only did the waitress (or store management) not replace the item, she never bothered to ask how the food was or why I hadn't eaten a single bite of my meal. Apparently she concluded that simply ignoring the customer and the problem he had with the food was the best way to handle the issue. I also didn't get a refill on my water cup, which sat empty for the majority of my visit there. The waitress dropped the bill off without saying a word, and I planned to leave a nice "tip" about how she should have handled the problem. Instead, I simply left a dollar.
I've been in the service industry for my entire adult life, and I don't think I've left a "0" tip once because I know how it feels. I can't imagine an experience being worth a big fat "0" more than this one, but I left a dollar and figured the greatest tip I could leave for this shop would be the one I leave on Google. Piezanos, you should really improve the way you have your staff handle issues with food, and maybe try and improve those...
Read moreThe pizza and Espresso Martini were good, and the service provided by my server was excellent. However, the menu is very pricey, they charge for soda refills, and the two men behind the counter (owners or managers) were rude and made me feel uncomfortable by the way that they scolded my server for trying to give me what I requested. For example, a one-topping pepperoni pizza was about $27, and they charge $3.50 per additional topping. My request: The Piezano Pizza comes with sausage, peppers, and onions, and I asked my server if they could exchange the sausage for pepperoni and remove the peppers. My server told me that she would try for me. However, when she submitted the ticket, the two men behind the counter scolded her loud enough for everyone in the dining room to hear and told her that I could not have what I requested because it would cost me more to order a pepperoni pizza and pay the $3.50 for the onion. It was just a request, and they could have said yes, or they could have said no, but they did not need to publicly scold my server - I would have never requested anything if I knew it would get my server into trouble. Obviously, they are more concerned with double and triple lining their pockets than they are concerned about...
Read moreA very average cheese slice for an above average price!! I'd say it was a small step above frozen pizza! Extremely thin crust, lots of unseasoned tomato "sauce", and a little bit of cheese. Very disappointed! NO posted prices that faced the boardwalk. That should be illegal!! The other restaurants all had their prices listed no matter how high. Not this place. My wife was hungry and got a plain hot dog. $4.44 with tax! I almost passed out. I could almost understand if it were a chili dog or had other toppings. Just. A. Plain. Hot. Dog. The employees weren't particularly friendly either. Extremely disappointed in this business and will Never be back. Save yourself the disappointment and find another place to spend your hard earned money. One that is transparent with their pricing. Deep down they know even if you want to ask how much something costs you're still going to buy it either because you're hungry or you don't want to feel embarrassed enough to walk away....
