Whenever we visit the beach we are always excited to try any of the new local restaurants that pop up and as Thai is one of our favourites we were very keen to give Thian’s a go. We have to say we were thoroughly impressed with our meal, the lovely atmosphere, and service we received. There was only one other table occupied on arrival so we were seated and our drinks order was taken straight away. Very likely that it was Thian’s mum who waited on us and she was really lovely and eager to please. Drinks came very quickly and she was fantastically attentive throughout.
The menu is on the small side and your very basic and well known Thai dishes feature prominently (Tom yum soup, pad Thai, various curries, etc.) but there are some lesser known dishes if you know what you want. I asked if they could make Pad Gra Prow as it did not feature and is my favourite, and they could not make this, however I reckon that if the ingredients were available this ‘off menu’ item would have been prepared with no problem.
For starters we had- Fried chicken spring rolls- full of flavour and great fresh ingredients (pictured) Jumbo chicken wings- they didn’t lie, they were HUGE! The flavour could use a little refinement and Thai flair as there wasn’t much there that made it more than your basic chicken wing. However, they were served with sweet chilli sauce to make up for it. Fresh, perfectly cooked and not greasy. (pictured)
Our main dishes included- Chicken Panang Curry- table mate asked for this as hot as they could make it and oh boy, did they! Incredibly spicy and flavourful, great balance of texture and taste. Beautifully tender chicken and perfectly cooked rice. Please note that this dish is not normally super hot, but if you like it sPiCy just ask and they will gladly accommodate. (pictured) Beef Pad See Ew- it is quite possible the rice noodles are made fresh, but if they aren’t they certainly tasted like they were, which was great. Beef was tender and tasty, broccoli cooked to a perfect Al dente firmness and all round great flavour. This dish is mild in spice/heat with a sweet-umami finish and every bite is wonderfully mouth watering. (pictured) Rama Chicken- peanut sauce was thick and rich. Chicken was exquisitely cooked, tender and delicious. Fresh spinach tops this dish so wait a few minutes to allow it to wilt from the heat of the sauce and chicken and you will not be disappointed.
tl;dr Pros- fabulous fresh ingredients prepared with an apt hand to make delicious meals. Attentive service and lovely atmosphere. Even has a few items on menu for your less adventurous friends/kids (chicken strips, fish & chips). portion sizes are VERY generous.
Cons- a larger menu would be great but understandable why it’s small.
What would get a 5 ⭐️- Starter/appetiser portions of the soups would be great and the addition of more Thai...

The Service as I said was excellent the staff were very warm and welcoming and we hardly waited at all before the delightful waitress came over and took our order quickly and efficiently, I appreciated that she read it back to make sure.
Nothing negative to say the restaurant was lightly decorated and comfortably spaced out in terms of table orientation.
I had the Pad Sey Ew my companion had the teriyaki chicken meal.
They both came out in a timely manner, hot and fresh, my noodles were tender and flavorful the broccoli perfectly cooked and the meat was juicy and phenomenally seasoned.
My companion enjoyed theirs and while not as wordy as me they said "It was Friggin delicious and people should put it in their face!!"
And reasonably priced two filling meals meals and bubble Teas under forty.
You could easily comfortably feed a family without gouging your pocket ledger and they have a solid menu with just enough "Something for everybody" without bogging you down with page after page of menu items.

When I go for Thai, I'm looking for concentrated flavors that make you go back in for more addicting bites. Based on the area, I thought I'd end up with some pretty ok food -- in my experience, even just ok Thai is worth it compared to other options. What I didn't realize is that we'd be treated to exactly what we'd been missing from the last several Thai restaurants we've tried: generous sauce work.
Our pad thai was that golden brown color you want and had plenty of caramelized sauce. Our Massaman curry was thick and creamy -- can't tell you how many places thin out their curries, I almost forgot it was supposed to be this rich and satisfying.
Even the small details were done well. Sometimes you get large chunks of potato, or an off flavor like the veggies had been prepped and sitting out for too long. The potatoes here were small, bite-sized chunks and everything fit together on the spoon and tasted great.
Do yourself a favor and go here after a long walk on the beach. Ocean Shores is lucky...
