AND the WORST customer service i've ever experienced goes to.. Maan's Mediterranean Grill.
I'm still in awe and disbelief of what just happened and had to let everyone know as soon as possible at this place.
Literally, Can't even BELIEVE the experience my husband and I just had with this place. We discovered it yesterday, and loved their salads, so decided to revisit tonight for dinner- I ordered take out. Ordered two salads with chicken. Get home, and my husband is enjoying his salad until he pulls out a GIANT piece of plastic. THEN, a second one...
I'm upset and so he is. I call the woman and tell her there is plastic in the salad- and she seems extremely confused as to what "type" of plastic is could possibly be, and continues to question me for about a minute or two. She is also very unsympathetic...
SO, we decide to take our time to drive back to the restaurant and show her in person (right thing to do)...
We walk in and show it the woman working. My husband tried used humor to lighten the situation a bit and to give them the opportunity to apologize. She laughed with him, and so I figured we could just get our money back, accept their apology, and hope they let their cooks know about the plastic. I say to her "we would like our money back" and she says to us "Well, I give you a discount." I said to her "Are you KIDDING me?! There was two pieces of PLASTIC in the CHICKEN!" She says to me "Well, you ate some of it"... Again, I said "You're kidding, right? That salad costs you what, $4 to make, at most?".... She then says "Ok.Ok. Fine" and slowly, FORCIBLY retrieves the cash from the register. At this point, we were so upset, that we just told them to Keep the money and walked out of the restaurant. I can't cuss on here, but what in the flying F**!? The owners obviously have no idea what it means to uphold their reputation and maintain Customer Loyalty. Apparently $4 is more worth it to them. The woman didn't even bother to apologize.
They can keep their $9- I mean, $10, Plastic Wrap Chicken Salads. I'll take my business elsewhere, where customer appreciation exists, and apologies are expressed for wrong doings. This...
Read moreThis place looks like it rocks hard at night Went with 3 and our hot food was hot/ fresh and the the cold was cold/ fresh .From what I could see the roast meats were giant and delicious looking I ate vegetarian and forgot my nightshade vegetable diet exception rule and dove into the Baba -ghanoush (spelling?) With the fresh pita slices provided! They are also a Kabobery and I am wondering if I can ask for a veggie the next time I go. The cook was sweet as I brought in the dishes to help ( not a requirement ) because I wanted to hand deliver a tip but just left it in the tip bucket she was so busy . I am going to inquire about the baked pies next time I go. Full and happy I recommend this place I went on a Sunday and we still got a outside table .We were treated by a friend for our birthday lunch as a couple!Truly a "Grille" ! Enjoy ! P.s. We met Matt the owner himself and shared smiles and his hospitality was generous . I doubt I will get any of our leftovers . We had wraps/Falafel/shrimp/beef shwarma ,appetizers Baba ghanoush hummus cucumber slices . Somhow I left before consuming any or all the baklava in the place . Go figure ! Just another reason...

This place is seriously one of North County’s best-kept secrets. Like—how did I not find this hidden gem sooner?! Every single time I walk in, the vibes are warm, the food smells insane, and the guy working there (I’m pretty sure he’s the owner?) is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve EVER met. You can literally feel how much love he puts into his food and how much he cares about every customer ❤️
I always get the Shawarma Maan’s Way and OMG… it’s perfect every single time. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly spiced—it’s that kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good life is 😂🔥
And the rest of the menu?? STACKED. From hummus to falafel to those fresh, fluffy pitas—every classic Mediterranean dish you could want, done right. Everything tastes so authentic and fresh, like a home-cooked meal made with love. 💯✨
