Unacceptable Service & Delivery Experience

I placed my order at 6:52 PM with an estimated delivery time of 7:37 PM. Instead, I did not receive my pizza until 9:04 PM—that’s over 2 hours and 15 minutes later.

Here’s what happened: • I waited patiently, but by 8:16 PM (an hour and 24 minutes after ordering) I had to call the Mountain Mike’s Carlsbad/Oceanside location directly to ask what was going on. • From the DoorDash order log, it’s clear they didn’t even confirm my order until the same time I called—8:16 PM—as if they had forgotten about it entirely until I reminded them. • The DoorDash driver finally picked up the pizza at 8:38 PM, which is not the driver’s fault, but shows how badly the restaurant delayed making my order. • When the pizza finally arrived, it was cold.

This whole process was a mess, and what’s worse is that Mountain Mike’s doesn’t tell you upfront that their “delivery” is actually contracted out through DoorDash. That would be fine if they managed their orders responsibly, but clearly they do not.

For nearly $60, there is no excuse for this kind of service—cold pizza, a 2+ hour wait, and having to call the store myself just to get them to notice my order.

Worst worst worst pizza experience of my life! first of all let me start by saying I am not from this area so when my pizza was NEVER delivered, I didn’t have food in my fridge to eat. I was at a hotel. Person on the phone told me it would take 45 minutes. Pizza never showed up, Drive down to the mountain mikes and the pizza was still sitting in the overnight 2 hours later!!!! They never answered their phone again which is why I had to drive over to the mountain mikes. I wanted an update or refund but never answered the phone. When I got there there was maybe 5 people eating inside, they guy at the front counter claimed to have got a rush of customers and that’s why they weren’t able to deliver my food. Went in demanding a refund and he told me to leave my name and number so he can call back in the morning! Haha! Funny people. Anyway, after some back and forth they gave me my money back… arguing with me over my money? Crazy. I get back home with some junky McDonald’s because it’s 10 pm and there’s limited places open, when I get there my kids had fell asleep hungry. Thank you mountain mikes. Didn’t...

The place was continuously busy and they were very kind and apologetic for not being as fast as the people in front of me ordering who wanted her to be quicker, when the people ordering where taking a long time. What you going to do 🤔🤷‍♀️ Wait?!

The food took sometime to get out, but it was delicious 😋 some of the best pizza my family and I have ever had. With 3 kids, we have tried a fair share of pizza.

The wings... I wouldn't order again. They had a good flavor but we asked for crispy and just can't eat them non-crispy. Nobody in the family. So. yes they made a mistake but it doesn't mean the whole experience was ruined.

The place is small, we love it! Feels cozy and lots of locals having a drink at the bar.
