(LONG REVIEW) First off the Waffle House franchise has been one of me and my family favorite places to dine in and eat since I was little girl, But over the years certain places have changed and gone downhill! But it’s very disappointing and disheartening that I have to leave a bad review because this specific location needs to be looked into when it comes down to Racism! Let me say that it’s 2024 and you wouldn’t expect people to be treating people of color any differently than any other race because we are paying customers just like anyone else, but on this particular day me and my husband found this location and decided we wanted to eat there, upon arrival we wasn’t greeted so we was just standing around waiting on one of the waitresses to notice we walked in so we could place a to go order instead, nobody never said anything, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was more people sitting around, the sad part is I even asked can someone take my order and everyone behind the counter just ignored us. Afterwards me and my husband just left and was in disbelief that people with distasteful behavior is working in a restaurant where you supposed to serve everyone and not just white people. I hate to say it but this place is definitely filled with racist people who obviously only care about their own race and it’s sad because I know we are not the only people that probably have experience that. So glad we was only passing through and don’t stay in the area. Do yourself a favor and go to the other restaurants across the road, PLEASE DON’T EAT HERE! WAFFLE HOUSE YOU SHOULD...
Read moreMy family and I were traveling through Ohio and decided we wanted breakfast. We made the horrible mistake of stopping at the Waffle House in Jeffersonville, Ohio. The waitress Dianne was not professional at all, the table she was going to seat us at was messy from the previous customers, so she clears the table of dishes, etc and wipes it with a dry rag where spills were not full cleaned not a single drop of cleaner or anything was used, NO LIE! This was in addition to our orders being totally mishandled. My wife received her eggs and grits, without her bacon and waffles for over 10 minutes. Needless to say her eggs and grits were cold when they eventually brought her bacon they remade her eggs (only because I said something to Dianne) and left my wife with the cold grits. My 7 year old received his waffle and didn't get his bacon until 5 minutes later and as for me, I didn't get my full order of bacon for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, numerous customers surrounding us were having similar issues with the service. During our ordeal we even noticed how unclean the food counters and floors were where the employees prepare customers meals and beverages. This photo was only a small pictorial of what we saw, YIKES!! This has not been our experience at other Waffle House restaurants in other states but if you're ever traveling through Ohio and you get hungry, don't stop at this Waffle House you...
Read moreWalked in, the staff gave us their greeting, we ordered our breakfast. First WH we have ever been to that had music playing, it was so loud we could not have a civil conversation across the table. I needed to make a voice request on my phone but the phone could not understand what I was saying, this went on for four trys. I asked that the music be turned down, three times before a man named Sam actually turned it down. Then my food was surgery cold. They tried to make it again, but this time the eggs were served with the yokes cooked solid, I had ordered "over medium" eggs. After all this I figured it was useless to ask that they be remade, we just got up and left. We usually search for Waffle Houses for our meals, we have NEVER been in a WH as poorly run as this one. This is the WH at exit 69 on highway I-71 in Ohio. If you want a good meal, you will want go to one of the other restaurants...
