Good food, great staff and mgr was very nice, but terrible Owner who yelled at me for trying to find my family a table because my feet were hurting standing too long for a table. *My feet have feet condition and have been operated in the past. Very rude owner needs better customer manners and respect of ADA federal standards when I asked mgr for help on he complied owner didn’t. Mgr was great trying to help me and realized I was in pain but reality was restaurant was very short staffed tables were dirty which ...I too noticed and waitresses were going crazy try to serve drinks because soda machines was broken and wasn’t fixed. ADA Standards are federal so ...that means when a customer asks for help they are
suppose to try to help instead owner was very rude and never tried to help he instead humiliated me and mistreatment me plus he yelled at me threaten to kick me stating he didn’t care about ADA stated ...I had to wait for my turn which I was 3 customers away of register after standing for 30mins. Very ignorant owner who needs training on ADA and manners. Ironically the vet ADA was raising funds at the door such bad PR for Golden Corral I quess anyone can be a owner regardless of knowledge of what it takes to run a business with complying all federal laws and standards. Terrible experience don’t recommend this place til owner comply with ADA and fixes soda machine which doesn’t help the poor waitresses either.
FYI... Signed into law in 1990, the ADA made it illegal to discriminate on the basis of disability in the areas of employment, public services, public accommodations and commercial facilities, transportation, and telecommunications. Within the ADA, these areas are focused upon in sections of the ADA called “titles.” For bars and restaurants, Title III of the ADA applies.
This title states, “no individual shall be discriminated against on the basis of disability in the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations of any place of public accommodation by any person who owns, leases (or leases to), or operates a place of public accommodation.” New facilities, constructed after the ADA, must make their facilities readily accessible. Existing facilities, constructed before the ADA, must remove physical barriers if readily achievable or easily accomplished without much difficulty or expense.
By the way you as the owner of that Golden Corral hate to inform you but the facts are that your actions which I found to be discriminatory practices are illegal and yes I did contact corporate Golden Corral and they will be discussing it with you because under the ADA title III you violated my rights when I asked...
Read moreBefore the Covad ordeal my family would visit here AT LEAST 2 times a week, from what they offer on the buffet there was something we all could fined to our taste. Today I called and asked if they were open for seating, the man replied yes. I drive from Midland to Odessa like I have many times. This time it was just my wife and I. I pay as usual and get ready to eat. I go through the lines they have set up and come to find out they are only offering approximately half of their menu. It was mostly comprised of their popular items. I decided to make due even though what was offered I was not too fond of. They were serving and only serving small portions. I asked for more and was told only serving portions were available. OK, no problem can always make another run through the line. After observing what was available I got to thinking I am paying full price for what was not the standard. I asked to speak with the manager. I explained to him my concern and was told that it’s regulated by the government. I don’t like being lied too. I understand offering a smaller menu but if your going to do that first state that up front and don’t charge full price for half the service. That is a decision of the business what to offer not the government. He said no. I told him I have been in business for over 20 years and I never over charge and it’s not correct to charge full price for half the service. He continued tried to justify the pricing. At the same time another family came in and seen the same thing, they made their concerns to the wait staff and ended up talking to the manager. He said I’m not going to pay full price for half the offered food. The manager did the same with him as me. The man Demanded a refund, received it and left. After that I asked to see the manager again, not to ask for a full refund but only partial. He was not around to be found. I got upset and just left. On the way out people that were arriving I told them that only half of the buffet is available but still full price. They said thank you and turn and left.
I find this very disappointing in this place for doing the business practice at a time like this and will continue to tell my story every chance I get. I will...
Read moreNot really sure about their policy when getting there 45 minutes before closing time is. We arrived at approximately 8:45 p.m. There was still quite a few people. The carbonation on the drunks were a little more than my stomach can handle so I went to the restroom it was very stinky and dirty. Returning to the table I felt I would like water instead but could not find a waitress till mid meal. Not sure if it was a language barrier or what but I had to repeat myself three times and asking for a that was the last time I seen Malinea until 9:15 when the manager no name tag informed my my son and I that they would be closing soon and that I needed to get whatever I wanted off of the buffet including desert and salad. Only problem was there was no lettuce and salad bar had already been broke down when we walked in I proceed to get dessert and set it aside to finish my meal when the manager again informed us that they would be closing soon. At that time the manager stood or leaned watching us eat and Molina started clearing table before we were even finished our dinner. And when I asked for another glass of water for refill she glared at me again there were other tables that needed to be to be cleared in our section I did notice that Melina or no other server we're grabbing plates or anything off the Hispanic males tables in fact look like she was conversating and laughing and cutting up with them. Then about 9:30 Molina stood behind us against the wall and watched us. Feeling very uncomfortable about this we left...
