We went to Sweet Traveler Patisserie on their opening day and fell in loveā itās now a solid part of our weekend routine! We go every Sunday morning to get a coffee and scone and chat with Terry. The owners, Misty and Terry, are both incredibly talented and incredibly kind, which is a rarity.
TLDR; everything is great, but my favorite snack is the cinnamon apple scone and my favorite drink is an iced chai with oat milk and cafe de olle syrup.
-Scone flavors weāve tried: espresso chocolate chip, blueberry, cinnamon apple, chocolate cherry, caramel espresso. My favorite by far is the cinnamon apple because I think itās perfect but the espresso chocolate chip is a very close second!
-On the first day we tried a honey toast with homemade milk bread and honey brĆ»lĆ©ed on top and to say that Iām still dreaming of it is an understatement.
-The chicken and waffles from Christmas in July are made with cornbread and also hopes and dreamsā I almost died and went to heaven.
-The sourdough bread is 10 out of 10, Terry pls let me buy it. Iām literally begging.
-The avocado toast is good according to my partner, I hate avocado so pls believe them?
-The Rising Sun was available on the first day and my partner was obsessedā it had a Japanese rolled omelette, smoked salmon, pickled onions, maybe some avocado? Idk, my partner loved it but I canāt report anything other than that it looked gorgeous and the bread was tasty and the partner was obsessed.
-Homemade jams are also delicious, never had one Iāve disliked.
-As for drinks, the Tokyo Drift was great but I think the flavors could stand to be a bit more balanced. The matcha could typically use a bit more sweetener. Overall, though, Iām a huge freaking fan. Terry makes a damn good drink and will make it to your tastes if you ask for what you wantā we stan Terry in this household.
The atmosphere at Sweet Traveler is so calming and if youāre looking for a place to unwind and get some work done, come relax. They have games in the back and free WiFi and are looking to host students. So come check them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis morning my my amazing friend picked up some desserts and shared with me from STP. He chose pumpkin roll and apple pie Basque cheesecake. He also bought me hot coffee. The pumpkin roll was moist and had the perfect ratio of filling to cake. Just slightly sweeter for my personal taste but nevertheless really good and not overly spiced. Now the Basque Cheesecake... it was the star of the show. Basque has always been my favorite dessert and this one did not disappoint! It was creamy and tangy, topped with apple pie filling. The apples were perfectly cooked and not mushy at all. They added a caramel sauce that was the perfect finishing touch. I loved it. The coffee was delicious and not overly roasted or overly sweet. We will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad high hopes for this place. To find out itās definitely not worth it. I paid $300.00 for a baby shower cake two tear. My daughter wanted a mix between two cakes she seen online. The lady that helped us said she was able to make what she wanted. What she wanted was a Winnie the Pooh theme with some balloons and honey combs on there. Though the picture was similar to what she wanted the name was not centered and the art was not up to the expectations we had especially for the price we paid also she donāt even have a box big enough for the cake so we had to cut the top off the box. The cake was dry and crumbly. I can say the cream cheese filling was good. All in all I feel like I got ripped off. The lady was...
