Our family (12 people) coordinated a dinner based on their advertising (website and sign in front of the restaurant) of “mariachi and margarita’s”. We thought this would be a great dinner-entertainment experience and when we arrived at our seats, we were told they did not serve alcohol and did not have the mariachi due to the high cost of their performance ($700/hr). Using statements like they do and in order to draw in consumers, but then failing to provide that very service is liable for false advertisement and more importantly, consumer misery and financial sacrifice. We could have supported another business with our $180 tab at an establishment that actually provided these advertised amenities rather than wasting it here. As disappointing as our unmet expectations was the failure to impress us with a tasteful meal. Of 12 patrons, not one was pleased, satisfied or fulfilled with the menu item they selected...in defense of the unimpressive and unremarkable plates, they may have been saved - even magically tasteful - had there been entertainment and alcohol to deafen our taste buds and culinary expectations. We were hit with a final blow when our 12-person group was told we could not split the check, at all, and that we would be charged a group tip. Look, there are plenty of places that meet your Hispanic-cuisine needs and that also meet or exceed the capability for entertaining you with cultural-specific music or performances...go there. While this particular location has the capacity and potential for so much more than they advertise or offer, as well as to truly fulfill what they proposed, they simply miss the mark by margins unmeasurable in...

Read moreMy brothers… my sisters… let me tell you of a place called El Paisa Grill. A place of power. A place of destiny. A place where the burritos are muy grande… like the size of my head. And my head… is HUGE.
The service? Always friendly. Always helpful. They bring you chips and salsa like they are bringing you the gift of life. For me, the food is a blessing. For my wife… it is more like a trial of the soul.
For example: the Burrito California. The menu proclaims: “Steak, Cheese, Potatoes, Guacamole!” But what potato did we find inside? Not a noble roasted champion… not a golden buttery cube… but a French fry. A FRENCH FRY! That is not the potato of destiny. That is the potato of the drive-thru.
They have a grand stage for karaoke, where the brave may sing for glory and for justice. But alas, on my in-laws’ anniversary, the karaoke masters were absent (on a Saturday night too). My family wept. I did not weep. Because I cannot sing. I only record the voices of others… for blackmail… for favors… for justice.
Last time, I ordered the Burrito Guadalajara. My friends, it was a beast! A leviathan of tortilla and meat! It could feed a small village. I ate half for dinner, half for lunch the next day, and still felt the eagle powers flowing through my veins.
So hear me now: El Paisa Grill is batting a thousand for me, but for those around me… maybe not so much. Still, I say unto you: they are close to greatness. They have the service. They have the burritos. All they need now… is the will to put the RIGHT potatoes in...
