This is our go-to Chipotle. We rarely run into any issues. Every once in a while we will get portions that are not sufficient due to the GM working up front so they don't get disciplined for over portioning. Also, compared to other Chipotles, we feel extremely rushed through the line even though we order effeciently. They are so focused on numbers due to pressure from management. Employees on the line are so distracted by how many customers are in line or how long each order is taking they are not even listening to the customers' orders who already know what they want. When I worked there we preached "slow down to speed up." Focus on each customer and get them through the line and customers will be in and out in no time. I know how it all works having worked here for 2 years and going through management training.
With that said, Chipotle employee turnover is extremely high. I'm hoping this complaint is due to the high turnover. If not, they are going downhill and just not caring about hard work anymore. For the past week we have been getting bowls that are extremely spicy. We don't order hot salsa but we do order corn and tomato salsa which is made with jalapenos. We know this and have always enjoyed the proper ratio these salsas offer. Today was the breaking point to write this review. My pregnant fiance had to throw away her bowl. She couldn't take the heat. I tried her bowl and it was overwhelming (and I love spicy). My bowl was awful, too! Keep in mind all of these items are offered in their kid's meals! We were getting sides and kid's meals for our son but he screamed in pain while eating his chicken and tomatoes today. We took him out of his high chair and got him some milk. His face was red from his chin to below his eyes. It was a horrible experience and unless it's addressed and solved, we will...
Read moreIn terms of the food, it was delicious just like every Chipotle I've ever been to. The customer service was lacking for the most part.
We stopped here on a 10 hour drive from Michigan to Maryland as a group of 8 with 3 small children. It was our first chance to get our littles out of the car and enjoy a meal at a restaurant we all enjoy. While our kids were antsy, they were reasonable in volume and activity, especially for their ages. They were respectful of the space.
The server who took our order at the beginning (Courtney) was especially friendly, but otherwise the staff we interacted with were rude and unwelcoming. As soon as we were done eating, the staff came and took the highchair and chair we were using to contain the kids and stop them from moving around the entire restaurant. I hope their intentions were to be helpful putting these items away, but it came off as though we were unwelcome (even though the restaurant was empty and we were not disturbing anyone) and needed to leave ASAP.
Lastly, there was no changing table in the bathrooms so this location is not...
