On September 22, my husband and I hosted a rehearsal dinner at StoneBridge for 26 guests. We initially selected StoneBridge after first visiting to try out the menu, and because we knew they had a private space available for parties. Start to finish, the service was amazing. Nick, the manager (and co-owner I believe), was incredibly helpful and accommodating with planning, and always prompt with emailed replies. He also kindly provided us a personalized menu with the names of the Bride and Groom. It was a small but perfect touch for the evening. Our servers for the evening were Isaiah and Faith. I was equally impressed with how effortlessly they managed service for our large group. They allowed my husband and I early access to the room so we could set up before the rest of the party arrived. Just before our party showed up, they made sure all salads and soups were ready (our request) and the tables were perfectly set. We selected a limited menu of Chicken Parm, Whitefish Francaise, and Veal & Peppers. The entrees were all served at the same time and no guest had to wait. For sides, we selected family style with a choice of brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. ALL of the food tasted amazing. For dessert, we selected peach cobbler, cheesecake, and triple chocolate cake. Again, it did not disappoint. StoneBridge also allowed us to set a bar tab so we didn’t have to worry, while Isaiah and Faith kept the drinks filled for all 26 guests, all of the time. We ended the night happy, full, and without a single critique or complaint. It was perfect. The StoneBridge team is amazing and so also is the food. Definitely, this is a team you can rely on for hosting a special...
Read moreHappened to be in the area with my wife so we stopped in for a bite to eat. The reviews looked good, the menu looked good and it wasn't just another commercial joint to eat at. We sat on the patio and that was very nice! I asked our server about beers since the bar inside looked pretty big and I was offered a verbal listing of the domestics they had on tap and my wife ordered off the daily special drink menu. Some blueberry vodka drink. My beer was good her drink was pretty bland. We ordered the crab cakes to start and the lobster bisque. The crab cakes were delicious!!! Good crab meat and not filled with bread crumb fillers. The lobster bisque was very watery with the tiniest pieces of lobster and no flavor at all. I sent it back which I normally don't do unless its like really not worth the price point. And I ordered the French onion soup instead. It was again just watery and the onions taste burnt. But I didn't return it. I went inside to was my hands and on the way passing the bar I asked if they had a drink menu. They did and its pretty nice. I don't know why the server didn't seat us with one or offer one when I inquires about drinks. So I got a nice beer and we ordered our food. Her a waygu burger and me just a patty melt. Both were over cooked and they dont come with sides. I also didnt complain as we were low on time. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. However I believe in always giving two reviews before making up my mind. We will be back. I just wanted to share my honest opinion...
Read moreA great local spot with nicer atmosphere than you would expect for the area. Lighting and seating lend themselves to a more upscale steakhouse than American fair. Good drink and service all exceed the price point.
TLDR: As I’m not a OH native I had to go with the Walleye. Fantastic, with a nice sauce of lemon and capers. Sweet potato fries are solid (pairs with a burger better I’m sure). Ask for bread, it comes with a lovely sun dried tomato butter.
Drinks: I opted for Great Lakes Christmas ale that had a cinnamon sugar rimmed glass. Wow was this good. Going to test this method on other gingerbread stouts. Second drink was Weller whiskey straight. Caramel, smooth pack and a long clean if a little bitter finish.
Food: I had the Walleye. When you’re this close to the Great Lakes and it’s not a common occurrence you should try it. It’s a large flakey white fish that finds a place between perch and trout. Really pleasantly presented here and enhanced with the sauce. I’m guessing some kind of white wine, lemon, dill? And capers. Sweet potatoes are a solid choice for the table to share. They need a little salt or even better honey but you won’t be disappointed.
Atmosphere: Dark wood tones, custom labeled glass, and subtle lighting give the ambiance of a modern steakhouse. Seating is well spaced with a private feel. A little loud at times with the local bar crowds.
Service: Even though I dined alone I was well taken care of. I didn’t witness a table go unnoticed for more than 7-8...
