This review of the restaurant in Niles Ohio. We are relatively frequent visitors to this restaurant. We like to dine at the bar and we’ve been there enough times to be on a first name basis with Pedro. Let me first say that his level of service And genuine personality is fantastic. The food is always well prepared atmosphere is always nice and a restaurant is always clean. Most recently we did have an experience that would not prevent me from giving a five star rating however it was a little offputting. I’m 61 years old. I’ve eaten a lot of ribeye steaks, I have cooked a lot of ribeye steaks. I know what they look like. I know what they taste like, I know when I have a ribeye steak. So I ordered a ribeye steak. The plate came out of the kitchen. It was a New York strip steak. I said to Pedro I thought I ordered a ribeye. This is a strip steak, he agreed that it was a strip steak. He checked the order and confirmed that I did order a ribeye. They were pretty busy and paid to handle it in a very professional manner, he apologized and said he would give me a rib eye. I thanked him and said no problem. I can eat the strip steak. Please just make sure that the Bill reflects that I ordered the strip steak. Immediately checked, the menu showed me that they were the same price, I said fine no problem. Problem solved. I was happy understanding that mistakes happen. I cut into the steak started to eat it. It was cooked perfectly And everybody just moved on. Suddenly, the manager appears looks down in my plate and said no you’re wrong, sir. That is a ribeye. We just cut the tail off. Mind you the issue was already resolved. I was satisfied Pedro did a great job. I simply said to the manager look I’m fine with this, but this is not a ribeye steak. This is a strip steak. She seems perturbed and continues to try to convince me that this is a ribeye and not a strip steak. Again, I said I’m fine with this. Thank you very much. She seemed agitated that she could not convince me this was not a ribeye and she walked away. In the end, I enjoyed the steak and finished the meal and certainly will return to that...
Read moreToday was my birthday so I got to pick a place to go, so me wanting to go somewhere new, I chose longhorn to try it for the first time. We were a table of 7 and we all had a great energy, happy and laughing. We got a waiter, which I can't even remember his name cause I don't think he introduced himself. He seemed quiet and irritated from the beginning but I am a sucker for workers anywhere I always think maybe they are having a bad day and try to give them a chance. It took 40 minutes to get our drinks after ordering them and our salads came before he came out with the drinks by an entirely different person. It took another 20 minutes to recieve our food. At this point we've been there an hour and a half. No refills no extra bread, no time to ask for condiments because the waiter would disappear for half hour at time. The waiter never asked me how I would like my steak so I forgot to say something, but surprisingly it came out perfect. (Food was decent food no complaint there) I told him to get me chicken tenders and a fruit bowl for my son and he rang me up for fries. A different waitress came over to serve the food and she tried telling me they were gonna charge me for the fruit cup after he wrote my order in wrong 😂 the manager was standing there and she said "no no I got it" she seemed pissed at her crew. They all were stumbling over each other, some were standing around some were sitting at the tables, some of them looked attentive but the atmosphere was just bleh. At the end it took the waiter 3 times going back and forth to get our order split up correctly and then he still charged us wrong. That manager gotta hire some older people that know the business and fire the lazy unmotivated staff. I felt bad for her, seeing the look on her face when I told her he never asked me how I want my steak done. Read moreWent to Longhorn yesterday ( Saturday ) was seated promptly and Desirae was our server . She was very nice and friendly , drinks came out , our appetizer was right out with the bread . Wasn't long and our meals were delivered to the table , drinks were refilled and more delicious bread placed at the table . We told her we were from PA and it was our first time to this restaurant location , we enjoyed our meals and Desirae 's kindness . Thank you for such a enjoyable experience . The only thing I would have changed would have been the music volume , I'm not hard of hearing but it certainly could have been turned down so we could visit among our table without raising our voices over the music . Thank you once again , and we are sure to return when we are in the area.
Wow What a difference in a few weeks time . Went to Longhorn 2-18-24 for lunch , a young girl took our order for drinks and lunch . She returned with the drinks . People who came after us were eating appetizers and salads . Same server . But no appetizer or salad delivered to our table . After 30 minutes, I flagged her down to say forget it ! I'll pay for our drinks . I paid and left . The young girl never gave us her name , all I can say is she is in the wrong business. She'll never make it as a server . Piss poor service today . Young girl your service needs major improvement. Dish water blond hair pulled back in a ponytail. Maybe 20 years old .No glasses . I said that cause another young girl wears glasses .
