Waffle House — Restaurant in Ohio

We typically go in here in the evenings/night and it's always the same. Poor quality food and poor service. It's not uncommon for a server to say sit anywhere you'd like and take 10 minutes before you're even offered a drink, now mind you this isn't the breakfast or brunch rush, it's night shift and only a couple tables.

The attitude of these young girls they hire sucks as well, personal conversations are loud and inappropriate for staff to be having in front of customers. While they are busy talking amongst themselves drinks go unfilled and unless you can flag one down you have to wait until they feel like coming to take an order.

The food.. well you'd think waffle house would make good waffles but they are often undercooked or soggy, if you want chocolate chips or something like that don't expect them in the batter, they just dump em on top. Don't bother telling them how you like your steak as it always comes back well-done, bad steak too, but it's waffle house so I wouldn't expect it that great. Eggs are often undercooked as well, runny sunny side up eggs that almost seem raw when they served it.

I've gone here 5-6 times and it's always the same. What really struck me was one evening on our most recent trip the manager asked how everything was and when we shrugged and replied "It was alright..." that seemed fine with him and he replied "Great!" The right answer for a manager would have been to ask why it wasn't excellent and how could they improve.

Just because it's waffle house isn't an excuse for sub-par...

Today I went to the Waffle House in Painesville ohio . If you are black don’t go there . I walked in with my niece and there was another family of 6 white people 5 men and 1 woman . 4 of the men sat at a booth and 1 man and the woman sat at the counter . There was two seats next to them so when it was my turn to be seated the waiter asked how many in my party I said 2 and the man made this noise so she looked at him and didn’t seat us there so we waited another 15 mins for a booth . The whole time it was an older lady that was a waiter and she kept staring at me and there was a lady with black glasses that was calling the orders out and she was staring at me and saying things to the other lady . I asked for no meat in my omelette and when I got it it had meat in it and when I said something the older lady started laughing . There was a black man and a white woman that came in with there child and all the staff turned away when they seen them walk in so the couple stood there for a min and other people was coming in and they greeted them so the couple walked out as they walked out 3 of the employees said have a nice Father’s Day .. they never said good morning but can tell them bye the couple seen what was going on . The older waiter was outside when I left and yelled for me to never come back there again .. they are Racist at this restaurant and I will never go back there again.. NOT A RESTAURANT FOR...

My mother and I walked into this waffle house expecting to get a good meal, so the ladies tell us to seat ourselves. Mind you, the ceiling is leaking dripping all over the floor in the only open area, there is to be seated. So we wipe off the water and sit down. Our waitress comes over, gets our drink orders. And we put our food orders in. 25 minutes go by and I get up to go to the bathroom which looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years I come back out and they're serving my mom the wrong order. They say sorry, take it back, we wait another 10 minutes. My food was sitting on the counter getting cold while my moms food wasnt even made. At this time we get up and leave the waffle house. Terrible service the ladys were just standing around talking to eachother. One lady didnt switch her gloves in between orders another lady had her hair in a pony tail waiving it around all of the food.
