I have never been to a chilis in all my life. In all my almost twenty years of being upon this earth I have never set foot in the fine eating establishment we know and love as chilis. It all started as I was visiting my friend and we were searching for a place to dine. This place was close by so I read the reviews and was immediately interested. Never have I seen such horrendous reviews on a restaurant before. We decided we must check out the authenticity of those reviews and as you know from my star rating it did not agree with all those nasty sayings. As we entered a nice young lady greeted us and took us to our table. I was impressed by the family friendly atmosphere. We were sat down at our clean table. Something I noticed straight away was a weird iPad like device sitting on the end of the table. My friend and I learned that this device was there to play games and to pay for our meal. I consider myself to be somewhat of an old fashioned soul and this “thing” sitting on our table absolutely disgusted me. I miss the days where friends could talk in piece without our short attention span being grabbed and moved onto the next thing. This is the reason why I rated this place 4 instead of 5 stars. Our waitress came up to us and was not the friendliest but it was late and I understand the hard work it takes to be a waitress. She took our orders and within seconds our drinks have already been delivered to our table. Never before had I seen such fast service before. It was immaculate. I ordered the Big Mouth Crispy Sandwich and my buddy ordered the Cajun Pasta. One of the biggest problems I read in reviews about this place was that the food was almost always served cold so I was very scared to see how my food turned out. When the food arrived it was a normal temperature. This was an excellent finding and I was excited to taste this chicken sandwich. I bit into it and it was alright. Basic chain restaurant food nothing fancy but it wasn’t cold and that was enough to win me over. My friend also enjoyed his pasta saying it was up to chain restaurant quality. We finished our food and the the waitress gave my friend a military discount #GodBlessAmerica and we finished off by paying four our food on the weird iPad thing. OverLl I would rate this meal a 4/5 stars which is a little high but they deserved it after all those negative reviews that came in. Thank you chilis for a wonderful evening...
Read moreI should have read the reviews, I thought that surely the 3.5 stars were a fluke. I was wrong. The visit started out okay. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Our server Alex came around and took our order, we thought things were going well at that point. We purchased the 2 for 22 deal and received our appetizer salads very quickly, which seemed fresh, except the cucumber slices, but overall not bad. My wife ordered a drink, which seemed to take a little while to show up. So, here's the three star part -approximately 3 other parties were seated after us, ordered at least 5-10 minutes after us, and they all received their food before us. One party had more guests than my family had. So, noticing all the parties that were seated and ordered after us I told our waitress that I noticed all the parties waited on after us had already received their orders. I then asked if there was a reason, and she told us that someone else had taken our order and it had to be submitted again. So, she did apologize, but I'm pretty sure we were at our table for about an hour. Now, all that being said, the food, with exception of my wifes' rubbery chicken breast she ordered, was all nice and hot, and tasted fine. I was thinking that since our food was "taken" by someone else and we had to wait double the normal time that we might be offered some kind of comp, like a free desert or something that would have tried to make up for the extra long wait. The restaurant was not packed. After the long wait our waitress seemed to not be as attentive or not as pleasant than when our visit started. Over all the food was ok, the service was slow, and not as friendly as I've experienced in every other Chilis' I've ever eaten in. I will make it a point not to re-visit...
Read moreOur server obviously didn't want to be there. Took a while to even greet us and get our drinks. I have been in the food service industry for years and don't normally complain but this was pathetic. His section was not crowded, he didn't appear to be in the weeds, he just didn't want to do the job. Don't know his name either, no one was wearing any kind of name badge. 15 minutes after we'd placed our order Mr Unenthusiastic came to tell us the kitchen was out of corn dogs (my 6yo daughters order). She asked for Cheese Pizza instead, Mr Unenthusiastic repeated her order back and left, my empty drink was on display the whole time. 10 minutes later a different server brings the adults food and a refill for me. Tells us 3 minutes until the kids meal is ready. Mr Unenthusiastic never checked on us. Between 10-15 minutes after the adults food was served (we were feeding the kiddo our food) Mr Unenthusiastic finally stops by and apologizes about the food. A few minutes later he delivers a pepperoni pizza and says the manager comped it. Um, hello?!?! Rather than waiting for them to figure out they screwed up again we simply asked for boxes. At this point my kiddo didn't even want her food. With the arrival of the boxes came the manager, again no name given and no name badge. She apologized for the shortage and delay and asked if there was anything at all she could do. I thanked her but declined anything else. Then I told her they still got the pizza wrong, which she promptly blew off as no big deal, because I had pulled the pepperoni off and it was now free. Um, hello again!?!?!?!? We will not be eating here again that's...
