I travel a lot for business and stay in a lot of hotels so I'm a little bit of a hotel snob.
I think this hotel was probably a super 8 or something similar in its previous life. I don't know where they are at in their renovation, but it has a long way to go, at least I'm assuming it's being renovated. Here's some things to think about as you're looking at this hotel for your stay.
It has a very dark/ dingy and in disrepair feeling. I don't know if the hotel is actually all that dirty, but it just has that feeling based on the lack of lighting, color choice and lack of updating. In addition, the HVAC does not seem to be all that operational in the hallways and lobby areas. Those areas tend to be warm, stagnant and humid.
The room is okay. It's about what you would expect from a two-star-ish hotel. I will say that the beds ARE comfortable and the linens seem to be clean. The room does have a strange smell which could be some kind of cleaner, but most likely it's simply from mildew.
Regarding the room, the safe does not work, the bathroom fan does not work, the window is partially crazed, the bathroom door will not close and there is absolutely insufficient lighting to make it feel welcoming and the lighting that does exist is of the 5K color temperature which makes it feel cold. The choice of colors only adds to the dark unwelcoming feeling. This is the exact opposite you want in a hotel.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi but we could never get it to work except occasionally and then it was very slow. I would not even count this as an amenity if that's what you're looking for.
The second floor hallway smells like marijuana.
There is a tiny exercise room with equipment that was probably updated around 2015. It seems to be functional but far from adequate by today's standards.
There is a pool and a hot tub, but judging from the clarity of the water, I don't think I would want to spend any time in it. The room where the pool and exercise equipment are is not well ventilated, very stagnant and humid.
There is no outdoor space whatsoever. The weather itself has been gorgeous, but the only way to take advantage of it is to sit on the curb in front of the hotel like a hobo.
The bathroom I would describe as "lipstick on a pig." There's an old bathtub with a new surround that doesn't match. There's a plastic wand-style shower head whose flexible hose is partially rusted. This is obviously due to the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. There are some attempts at renovation in terms of a tile floor and an updated vanity and mirror. There is no hair dryer for those that care about that.
They do, in fact, have a free breakfast. It's what you would expect from a continental type style breakfast and not horrible, but certainly not the best I've ever had. If you like carbs, there's plenty of them.
I would say the hotel is in an okay location. It feels like an area that's trying to be gentrified a bit. That being said, if I was a young woman, I'm not sure I would feel safe walking around here by myself. Perhaps in the daytime? There are a few restaurants around to choose from that are in walking distance.
The staff are very friendly and are quite responsive if you have questions or issues.
There are many hotels within a half mile of this one, including a new hotel complex with plenty of options. I'm shocked that they can even call this a Wyndham property. The place needs to be shut down, gutted and completely renovated if they want to compete with the neighboring properties.
So the best I can say about this place is that the staff are friendly and the beds are comfortable. If I could give it zero stars for the rest of it, I would. With a major infusion of cash and about a year to gut and renovate, this would be a nice place. I would steer clear unless you're simply looking for a place to lay your head for a night while...
Read moreThis might be one of the WORST hotels I've ever stayed at. Firstly, whenever my fiancé and I arrived there was no one at the front desk. We stood waiting approximately 20-30 minutes to check in before anyone arrived and a huge line formed behind us. They charged us $60 the day before we even arrived without notifying or authorizing us and we chose to pay upon arrival not beforehand, then charged the additional $50 fee hold as well. Our room looked old, outdated, poorly maintained and halfway cleaned lazily. The bathroom tub is ancient and our room phone didn't work and we heard other guests saying theirs didn't work either. The lighting is terrible in the rooms and the pull-out couch looked beat-up and disgusting. Whenever we needed extra towels, we had to walk down ourselves and wait over 10 minutes for them to give us tiny towels barely bigger than the size of hand towels. The entire reason we booked this hotel was because it had a hot tub and of course the hot tub was broken and apparently has been under maintenance for awhile and it doesn't state that on their website. Other guests were heard talking about the hot tub being broken and being disappointed too. The walls and floors are dirty everywhere and there are not enough employees working here and it seems very unsafe. There are other reviews of people's cars being broken into recently in the hotel parking lot due to poor security, and it makes sense because there is bad service here and it feels more like a crappy 1 star motel than a hotel. Most room outlets don't work. TV doesn't work because their internet is crap. The Wifi doesn't let you connect with the provided password. The ice machines are broken on most floors. This is very disappointing and a total waste of money. I don't recommend staying here. I killed a roach in the bathroom sink. This place is so gross. We told the manager how unhappy we were about our stay and the issues we experienced and how inconvenient it is to walk back and forth everything something is wrong because endless things were wrong and he just said sorry he has only been working there for 3 months and trusted his staff whenever they said things worked or were cleaned and gave us a $7.00 refund. Then as soon as he saw my review, he called my fiancé and asked to speak with me. I told him we were driving on the highway and he tried to intimidate me anyway and my fiancé and make us take our review down because his business would be affected. I told him no because everything I said on here is completely accurate and I stand by my statements and I have every right to share my experience because it's true and they need to be held accountable for poor service and unclean conditions and false...

Me and my friend traveling for college (2 females) booked this hotel for our travels and it offered an airport shuttle. When we got to the airport we called the hotel at 7pm and all the phone numbers were incorrect on the confirmation, website, and other resources. Finally we got the right line and they did not answer after repeated calls. When we eventually got someone to pick up the phone, they said we had to book the shuttle 3+ hours IN ADVANCE. Other reviews say 15 min on here. No info on requirements in the booking either.
We got an Uber after being denied the shuttle and showed up to the hotel and were surprised with an additional “hospitality fee” that was NOT advertised or included in the confirmation email. Lobby floor was covered in dirt clumps and muddy footprints all over and other guests were up front complaining about the cleanliness of their room and a clogged sink. They were also mad about the surprise “hospitality fee” given the disgusting conditions of the hotel. The receptionist was never able to provide proof that this charge was in the booking as is required by law. We booked through the Wyndham app, so there was no “third party booking site” excuse.
We were hoping our room would be different. WRONG. We had to change rooms after our first room had hair and crumbs under the blankets, stained sheets, and a dirty bathroom. They told us in order to get a new room, one of us (a pair of two young college girls) were required to go back up and unlock the room for the maintenance man, as he reportedly did not have keys to the room. As two young traveling women, this did raise safety concerns. We went together and unlocked the room and immediately left and did not enter the room with the man.
We got our second room and the beds and surfaces were clean, but the bathroom door and walls were dirty (covered in splatters, makeup, surface grime) and there was large clumps of hair and eyelashes in the bathtub. At this point, we had a few hours to rest before our next flight. We decided to not use the shower or change the room AGAIN given that every room in this hotel was apparently not cleaned regularly, maintained, or even wiped down between guests. This room had at least clean blankets and no sign of pests so we decided to make do.
We will be requesting a refund given we weren’t able to have a clean room (again, other guests in other rooms also reported this in the lobby) even after changing our room, use the shower, and were given surprise charges that were NOT stated in the booking or...
