Dairy Queen it used to be a real treat to go to DQ. I remember many years ago, DQ was the best place to go for soft serve ice cream as well as the different treats that they offered. Here in Oklahoma, Dairy Queen did exist 15 years ago when I moved to this state, but they're located everywhere else that I have lived. I remember the day that Dairy Queen used to advertise their blizzards and their employees would hold a blizzard upside down over their heads to demonstrate to the customer that it was thick and it would not drip or fall out of the cup. It was part of what attracted people to their brand.
Dairy used to truly offer extreme chocolate as a great treat for chocolate lovers. Dairy Queen needs to change their names of anything extreme chocolate because they don't really have this flavor.
They make everything using white soft serve bland frozen whatever it is. And then add just enough chocolate to make it turn brown and look like chocolate. In reality, the so-called extremely chocolate Blizzard that I ordered yesterday. Didn't really taste much like Chocolate. There wasn't anything extremely chocolate or fudge flavor. I am truly and extremely disappointed in the lack of chocolate flavor in the SO CALLED ice cream treat.
My mother is 84, she has loved Dairy queen ice cream as long as she can remember. She was really looking forward to a hot fudge Sunday. She ordered a hot fudge Sunday and when it was handed to her. There wasn't hardly any fudge on it. It looked like a cup of white frozen bland so called ice cream. With a tiny bit of brown stuff around it. Barely enough to call it a hot fudge Sunday. My mother was certainly disappointed with this Sunday treat. She said she would have had more chocolate if she would have ordered a dipped cone. Dairy queen isn't really the queen of ice cream anymore. It's 25 miles to the closest Dairy Queen to our house. The other 2 locations are 40 miles away and 65 miles away. The location 65 miles north of OKC has prepared served better quality than the location near quail springs mall on Penn Av. We have been driving to the location north of Oklahoma city before to enjoy the ice cream treats there.
But if all DQ locations offer the same bland products. We are not fans of DQ. There are definitely other ice cream places to go to which offer better quality products. That are closer than them. Sorry Dairy Queen, but this visit really wasn't...
Read moreI usually do not leave reviews however I decided to leave this review after receiving an incorrect order from this location on many many occasions. We live in the apartments right beside this location so they are very convenient, hence the multiple tries of going there and hoping for the correct order. There is one young man that is very polite and when he takes our order it comes out right. However, whenever someone other that the young man takes our order the order comes out wrong even if the receipt lists it correctly. They always mess up on either honey bbq chicken strips or a double cheeseburger with ketchup only. Today, I had to go inside and repair cheese and ketchup only at least 6 times. First they kept saying so it is ketchup and mayo only even after being told at least three times cheese and ketchup. Then the cooks started asking so does she want pickles on this. So even though the guy at the front has been told multiple times by me only cheese and ketchup turns to me and asks do you want pickles on it. I repeated no cheese and ketchup only, that is all I want on it. The cook is then told no pickles. He then asks so no pickles? I can hear them so I repeat I only want cheese and lemon it. The manager brings me the burger and it was supposed to be a double meat burger but it is now a single meat burger. I tell the manager that it is supposed to be a 1/3 lb. double burger. He says of it is? I say yes, at this point is am so angry I am shaking and I inform him that our order is wrong almost everytime we come here. He simply takes the burger and has another patty put on it. When he hands it to me he nonchalantly says sorry about that and nothing more. I am really starting to think that the staff must be high most of the time and I am not even joking about this. It is like they cannot even process simple directions! I will be reaching out to their DM or GM and to corporate about this location and all...

Unfortunately not returning after multiple dissatisfying visits. What has happened with the management and stay, or lack thereof?
Time: Saturday afternoon. (A review has been submitted to DQ, and I have chosen not to claim my free Mini Blizzard, as I am not returning.)
Seating & Ambiance: A quarter of the tables were occupied. Tables were dirty from previous customers and floors were sticky. The decor was a tough of good ole Dairy Queen pop, and fun.
Customer Service: HORRIBLE! We walked in first in line. We were never greeted. We assumed they were busy and considered life as an employee. So, we waited. It is hectic around lunch time. After more than 5 minutes, the cashier finally turned to acknowledge us and asked what we wanted with a surly disposition. We were hungry and assumed if we'd gone anywhere else the timing of when we'd eaten would be the same. So, we ordered. The receipt was stamped 12:17p. Our food did not arrive until 12:43p! I took a picture of the food with my receipt as soon as it was placed in the table, because I was definitely reviewing this experience.
Quality of Food: All of our burgers were cold! Let me reiterate, my burger was so cold that there cheese was in full sliced form. No heat was left to melt the cheese! We sadly and hungrily consumed the food and left. What was the point in bringing up the quality of the food when management never checked on customers?
Overall Experience: Due to continued inadequate customer service and poor food quality, I will never return and highly suggest you find a different Hot Eats and Cold Treats place with excellent Customer Service Good Quality nearby. There are plenty to...
