I recently had the pleasure of dining at Golden Corral in Oklahoma City on February 9th, 2025, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The restaurant was bustling with activity, yet it was well-organized and clean, which is always a great first impression.
Now, let's talk about the food. We decided to focus on a few key items, and they did not disappoint. The steak was the star of the show. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delight, and it was clear that the chefs at Golden Corral know their way around a grill. The steak was seasoned just right, with a perfect balance of spices that enhanced the natural taste of the meat without overpowering it.
The rolls were another highlight of the meal. Freshly baked and served warm, they were soft and fluffy on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside. They paired wonderfully with the steak, and we found ourselves reaching for more throughout the meal. The rolls had that homemade quality that you just can't find everywhere, making them a comforting and delicious addition to our plates.
And then there was the macaroni and cheese. This classic comfort food was executed to perfection at Golden Corral. The pasta was cooked just right, and the cheese sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It was the perfect accompaniment to the steak and rolls, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The mac and cheese had that nostalgic, homemade taste that brought back fond memories of family dinners.
But what truly made our dining experience stand out was our waitress, Donna. From the moment she approached our table, Donna was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal. Her warm personality and excellent service added a personal touch that made our visit even more special. Donna went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and her efforts did not go unnoticed.
Throughout our meal, Donna was quick to refill our drinks, clear our plates, and offer assistance with anything we needed. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made us feel like valued guests. It's not often that you come across such dedicated and personable service, and it truly enhanced our dining experience.
In conclusion, our visit to Golden Corral on February 9th, 2025, was nothing short of fantastic. The steak, rolls, and macaroni and cheese were all delicious, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor. The warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home, and the exceptional service from our waitress, Donna, made the experience truly memorable. If you're in Oklahoma City and looking for a great meal with outstanding service, I highly recommend visiting Golden Corral. You won't be...
Read moreUpdate 9/13/2025 Angela was my attendant today. She was very personable, attentive, and made me feel welcome. The chowder is still great and the Chili is the same...good but not special. The wings are good but a little under done for my taste. The ligaments and other parts were tough and the bones on the 2nd joint don't want to come apart with out a fight. The salad bar is still as great as ever! I just wish they had frozen peas (Thawd of course). The star of the experience was their POTROAST! They must have a New chef or something. The meat was perfectly tender and the veggies were ample. But the gravy was AMAZING!😘 🤌 They use the natural beef juices and don't stretch it too far with beef base. This is the 4 visit and still consistent. Thank you Chef👨🍳 🫡🤩
Their clam chowder is usually water and void of substance like potato and celery. But this time the Clam Chowder was great! It's like they got my messages. It had great body, like the potatoes and celery plus they actually put in cream! They flavor was spot on too. Not too many clams but tasted like clams.almoat as good as I make! The salad bar was great as usual, but I do miss the fresh frozen peas. I still won't eat tacos without TacoBell hot taco sauce. They also should use shredded lettuce not Chopped, it's hard to put it in the Taco. Plus it allows the Taco sauce seep into the Taco a lot better. It's the little things that make it work...
Read moreThis GC location has come a long way and has improved incredibly. Management runs a tight ship. Staff is efficient, attentive, constantly moving. A server stood by the drink machine and was kind enough to tell the customers that the orange juice that day seemed to taste a little less sweet despite the color looking good and suggested alternative juices. The fact that she took the time to notice that discrepancy and considered the customer’s satisfaction was spectacular. Attentive.
The staff is definitely busy and moving. No one just standing around and chit-chatting or looking on their cell phones. This felt like old-fashioned customer service the way it used to be.
Just one small critique. When staff come to refill food at the buffet, they may suddenly pop in front of you or get right behind a customer and reach to replace the food bin which slightly startled a couple of customers, one of them an older gentleman.
I appreciate the staff getting things done. They’re working hard, but politely saying, “Excuse me, Sir/Ma’am,” would be appreciated. It’s courteous and less intrusive. But otherwise, job well done!
I’m pleased with the renovations, cleanliness and customer service. Vast improvement from years ago. I can see why there have been more customers...
