Taco Bueno — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

I started July 11th this year as an Assistant manager. I took the position believing in the words that came out of the Store manager's mouth. Was told that he was shaping up things but a month in I saw that it was all talk. Hiring family members left and right. Money missing and reappearing when ever he comes in. Overworking non family members and running good workers off once they see what's happening around them. I quit today when the store manager and his brother decided to come to work high as a kite. His little brother acts as if no other manager can say anything to him besides his brother. Yesterday morning I counted the money everything was even and set for the day. He came in I went to the bank. By 2pm I went to count drawers I'm showing even for drive thru, I'm 59 and some change over/short for the lobby. So I recounted and used the calculator the second time to make sure I didn't over/under count. I was 59 and some change over. I proceed to let him know he acts as if it's just a system glitch. Mind you it's only us two on the clock that knows the codes. I don't carry cash and have no business adding funds to any of the drawers if everything was even and set when I opened. I clarify it was 59 and some change. He stated the exact amount I was referring to and proceeds to recount the petty cash. I go in today and open. Things are good besides the petty cash amount. It's lower then what he counted after the 59 and some change. It showed 66 over I counted 62 dollars shorter. There was no closing petty cash count from the night before and the deposit bag was not sealed. His little brother is constantly rude to customers and other employees. The store is nasty I did what I could to help but honestly the health inspector should visit. Roaches, Ants Nats, and flies. The cook and two line workers are awesome people. The manager that transferred to this location quit the week before. She was cool didn't see her much or ever work with her. But he hired his cousin the next day as an assistant manager. And it has been insult after insult...

First they messed up my order and had to refund the whole thing and then rering it. The manager assisted in this but no one communicated to me what they were doing until I questioned why I had to run my card again. I repaid, they gave me my receipt and I sat down to wait for my order. I sat for maybe ten minutes, watching other customers come and go and even asked the cashier if they had forgotten me. He said it was almost ready. So I waited some more, then finally in desperation went up to the counter to get a refund since it was obvious they weren't going to fix my order. One of they guys went back to tell the manager and I guess she told them to try to persuade me to let them fix my order so they took my receipt and sacked up some stuff, even though it was supposed to be dine in, at this point I just wanted out of there. Their apologies were insincere and the manager couldn't even be bothered to deal with my concerns. This used to be one of the best Taco Bueno's in the city, not it's surely the worst. I certainly will not go back there till they change management and crew. When I got the food home, they had put in some extra food, but there was no queso and no salsa. It makes me so mad that Taco Bueno has been slowly falling apart and going bankrupt. In my opinion they have the best Mexican Fast Food there is on the market! Literally no other Mexican fast food restaurant is even close to being as good as Taco Bueno! The beans are amazing, I never knew this until recently but apparently they make them fresh everyday! Their "Bueno chelada platter" is amazing! Their "Mucho Nachos" are absolutely out of this world good! Their "Taco Salad" is by far the best in the business! Their "muchacos" are amazing, and I will put their bean burritos up against any other fast food bean burritos on the market and BUENO will win hands down! The "mexi-dip and chips" is also one of my all time favorite fast foods ever! And a lot of people don't know they have one of the best desserts out of any fast food restaurant around, next time you go get an order of the "Cheesecake Chimichangas".......Thank me later! I hope that more people will find out the truth about this place and we can keep it alive forever! If Taco Bueno went under, I wouldn't know what to do if I ever wanted Mexican fast food again!
