Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Scooters used to be my favorite coffee shop because they had a reliable hot coffee for $1 and were willing to put in ice to help cool the heat of the coffee so I wouldn’t burn my tongue. They eventually changed the policy and increased the price, for which I assumed was for competition, to $4. I still committed because the hot coffee with a bit off ice was worth it.

Lo and behold, I have now found out they’ve changed their policy again. You can only order hot coffee OR cold brews. The fact that they’re unwilling to put a few pieces of ice into a hot coffee cup so that it doesn’t burn to hold or to drink is ridiculous. Their solution is to give a cup of ice and a hot brewed coffee - which, burned me when I attempted to fix it myself in my car in the road. Ridiculous. Completely hazardous policy.

In addition, they don’t even share this to the customer over the drive in. They just simply hand you an ice brewed coffee - which everyone knows is higher concentration in caffeine and has a different taste to hot brewed coffee. Their employees are undertrained and argue over the new policy which was not publically made, and has no logical soundings. The fact their employees will stand and argue instead of explaining any of this is even more undesirable of an experience. It also is NOT a warmed coffee which is what people want.

It’s clear that scooters has sold out for profit and no longer cares about individuals ordering or their employees who they are subjecting to arguments because of bad policies and undertraining. It’s embarrassing scooters.

I will no longer be coming to scooters and advising all the people I know to stop because honestly - there are much better local coffee spots in the city that treat...

Instantly turned off by the server’s attitude at the drive thru. Never been here before. We weren’t doing anything but looking at the menu, no one behind us. And the server rudely comes over the comes asking us if we’re ready to order. It was in her tone. We told her we were still looking and then not even sixty seconds went by and she came back over asking if we needed help deciding. Same tone. Again, no one else behind us. So I asked her if she was in a rush and she responds just repeating what she said. We explained that we just needed some time, we’d never been there before. Then she doesn’t respond. And we decided to just leave. To which she did not respond. We clearly weren’t wanted there. Funny how much can be said in just a person’s tone. But she said it all.
