I used to manage this WH back when it was first built. I know how a WH it's supposed to be run. I also know how they could fix it, but management won't listen to any ideas but their own. They also don't listen to their own history. First off, they changed their call in procedure to the grill operator. Why they did that I don't know. They tell the grill ops what to pull them they tell them what to mark and then to drop. The could eliminate most of that by just going back to calling it the orders starting with what takes there longest to cook. The grill up knows what to pull because they pull the food as it's being called. The marking, well that's actually a good idea that someone started 20 years ago. It was always the grill op's job to know what order went with what, but not anymore. Now, it all falls on the waitstaff. It should be a joint effort. Also, everyone should be responsible for the dish pit sand the grill ops should be responsible for the "flow" of the shift. While everyone has their own job, the cook still is the leader, not the boss, the leader. The quarter back if you will. No one enjoys their job anymore and no one send to rely have fun with the customers. I used to know all my customers especially my 3rd shift drunks. I knew their names. The down home feel is gone. Will lit ever come back? The best thing the management can do is listen to their veteran cooks and waitresses. Sorry guys, your menu hasn't changed all that much. It shouldn't take 4 waitresses, two cooks to get in the weeds on a Saturday night. It just shouldn't happen. If you used less dishes, cut down your call in procedure to that it used to be and organized your tickets to the way they used to be, you wouldn't have nearly as much trouble. Running a WH just isn't...

I was very pleased with the Allstar breakfast that Moses prepared. Today Neiko waited on me, smiled , greeted and engaged with me and all customers seated in her section(the counter) She offered me a refill of coffee and wished me a good day. Read moreThey all congratulated my grandson, Lucas Adam Franklin, Jr. when he walked in Waffle House on Meridan Ave., OKC for placing 2nd in Heavy Weight in the first ever Oklahoma's State Jr High Wrestling Tournament. Over many years, our children and grandchildren have traveled thousands of miles on vacations and sporting events across the southern states of the USA. Waffle House NEVER LETS US DOWN! In Arlington, TX this past summer, one of the male workers came over and ask my youngest grandson how he was doing in his National Baseball Tournament and they had just lost their game. This man looked Bodie Lane Franklin in the eyes and so kindly gave him the greatest personal pep talk I've ever heard! It took a sad little boys frown and turned it upside down, back to a smiling little boy again. One trip coming back from Florida, we went through Alabama, I believe, and the Manager Lady was singing to people, trying to get customers seated quickly and praised God and evenprayed over us for our trip back home, telling us: "YOU ARE ALL COVERED BY GOD HANDS"! We felt good going in, but BLESSED going out! Thank you, Waffle House workers, for truly caring about your customers. Gail Bates,...
