Though our service here was beyond appalling and completely unacceptable, I'm giving two stars for the fact that the beds were comfortable and, other than a fire alarm incident, the night of our stay was uneventful. We had a party of five, and two of our friends in one of the three rooms we booked had their fire alarm go off for seemingly no reason. None of us smoke, and when two members of the security staff came to investigate, they agreed that there was absolutely no smell of smoke in the room, and were equally confused as to why the smoke alarm went off. The security staff then proceeded to climb up on a chair and remove the smoke alarm from the ceiling with a literal pocket knife, causing damage to both the ceiling and the smoke detector itself, and leaving chips of drywall all over the floor. Our party then proceeded to request a new room from the front desk staff, who complained to us that she had been left to man the front desk alone with no manager or training on how to handle this issue. She proceeded to call her manager to complain about his poor management, leaving us to wait and listen until she completed said call to book the new room.
If this had been the end of our issues with the hotel, I would have had very little issue with our stay, in spite of the fact that this would still have been far from the standards that I have come to expect from Hilton hotels. However, the next day, a new woman staffing the front desk very rudely accused my friends of the damage caused to the room, and told them that they would be charged a $250 damage fee. When my friends asked to speak to the manager, she cavalierly responded that there was no manager on duty that day, but that she spoke with him on the phone. She then refused to allow us to speak to said manager to explain our side of the events. To my knowledge, she also never spoke to the security staff who removed the alarm to confirm whether the room smelled like smoke, which it did not.
To make matters worse, she proceeded to call security and have our friends removed from the hotel after they started to call the corporate office to file a complaint in a clear retaliation attempt. One of us is a diamond member, and both of us have been staying at Hilton hotels for many, many years with wonderful service, in stark contrast to the experience we had here. We have filed a complaint with the corporate office. Both the front desk person and the manager who handled this issue are poor representatives of the Hilton brand, and I hope that they are removed from their jobs for what is undoubtedly not the first incident of piss...

Read moreAs far as hotels go, it checked all the boxes for rooms. Not great for parking large vehicles or trailers. What really was the issue here was the overall service. We had the unfortunate circumstance of having our vehicle stolen during the morning of October 2nd. We were mid move across the country, and we lost not only our vehicle, but tens of thousands of dollars of our personal items, including wedding photos and other irreplaceable items. Upon the initial discovery of the stolen vehicle, we called 911 and notified the front desk. The desk attendant did not have access to the cameras and told us that she notified the GM to provide the footage to police. About an hour later, the police had finished their collection of information and still had not heard anything about the footage. The same attendant said that she was waiting and that hopefully the GM would be in soon. As we were trying to find out how we should continue with our move, I decided to move our uhaul truck to somewhere in view of the lobby so that we could have some semblance of security of our remaining items while we dealt with the ramifications of the theft. No sooner than having placed the vehicle in park on the backside of the hotel on the edge of the property line, the front desk attendant said that her boss, who decided to finally come to work, said I was 'taking up too much good parking and that I needed to move my vehicle farther away". The parking lot was only 30 percent full on a Wednesday morning, so there was no need for the handful of spots I had occupied temporarily, just so I could hopefully not have the remaining 2/3rds of my items be stolen. It has been a week and we have not received a single follow up regarding the footage from that morning. The neighboring Marriott front desk was more helpful and I didn't even stay there. This properties management should seriously be re-evaluated for their ability to provide any sort of empathy or humanity. The only level of comfort provided was by the breakfast attendant who brought my distraught wife a cup of water, which in the moment, was a kind gesture. The greatest rooms and amenities mean nothing if the people operating them don't meet the mark....
