Fun, Modern Hotel with Great Breakfast & Outstanding Staff We stayed at Tru by Hilton in Oklahoma City for over a week while attending an event at the nearby fairgrounds. The location was super convenient—close to both the fairgrounds and the airport. The hotel has a fun, upbeat vibe, and the breakfast was a standout! Usually after a few days of hotel breakfasts, we’re over it—but not here. The selection was small but super customizable. We loved the pancake machine—just place your plate and it makes two fresh pancakes. The parfait station with different fruits was another favorite. Orange juice was tasty, though I didn’t care for the other juices. Still, the breakfast experience was a highlight of our stay. We did encounter a few issues with our room. The first room had a seriously loud A/C that sounded like a motorcycle, so we asked to be moved. Unfortunately, our new room was right next to the original one, and the noise was still noticeable. It took four calls over a few days before it was finally resolved, which definitely impacted our sleep. Also, the beds were quite firm, which may not work for everyone, though the linens were soft and clean. A few other things we missed during our extended stay: a laundry room, a pool or hot tub, and the option to stream Netflix like we’ve had at other Hilton properties. That said, the staff here were absolutely top-notch. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I had some packages delivered during our stay, and one of the front desk team members even remembered I had one coming from a tea company—great memory and exceptional customer service. Overall, a fun and affordable place to stay with a few limitations. Would definitely recommend for a short visit or weekend stay!

Well...welll....welll...how things can change. I am now very disappointed with this location. Rooms have went down fast and the manager on/off site is not the most helpful. After we were told our prepaid room through the Hilton.com website was not showing as paid and trying to resolve before we left. He decided to call security on us. He literally left in the middle of us trying to get answers and the young lady left behind had no clue what to do in this situation. I am in awe how horrible customer service is in current times. All we wanted was a resolution that 1 it shows that we checked out when we did and 2 get on the phone with CS and confirm that someone in Hilton received our money. I am leaving the previous review so anyone can see what my previous experience was like. Although i was planning to not come back to this property. It is a definate now. This experience has made me not want to stay at a Hilton property again. I am on a trip now that was changed to another brand due to this experience. Pretty awesome. Convenient check-in process. Also, I was able to successfully use the app with a digital key. Breakfast was OK, but someone had broken the toaster. Pleasant atmosphere and comfortable. Our room was huge, and the bathroom has plenty of space. Update 3/2025: No longer have the new feeling. They ran out of oatmeal at breakfast, but the place is still nice. I will more than likely try a different property the next time I am in the area.

This was a planned first time stay. Being a member I expected the same service and experience of Hilton. Entering room on 3rd floor checking everything out the design and accessories was very good along with a perfect view. The main decor, the bed was poorly made with stain and hairs throughout. Requesting housekeeping to freshen up wasn't available. Shocked since it was during mid afternoon. The only option was moving to another room on 4th floor. Same layout and appearance. Bed again was poorly made. Tired and totally frustrated with at this point settling. Spreading my traveling blanket on top of the bed and laying down it wasn't a comfortable mattress. The hard night sleep tossing and turning made me anxious to leave. Before checking out before 11am leaving my room to go put luggage in vehicle the room key didn't allow me back in with using. Housekeeping, front desk attendant and manager couldn't get the door to open. Being that the rest of my items, mobile and purse was still in room I became very distressed. After over 2 hours and another staff came my room door was opened. Moral of this review is hopefully Hilton as a whole will have more empathy and compassion for customers when they experience this type of discomfort. I've never in all my travel stays experienced this type of treatment and service. HONORS membership canceled!! **SN: FUTURE GUEST FULLY CHECK YOUR ROOM ESPECIALLY THE BED.

Though our service here was beyond appalling and completely unacceptable, I'm giving two stars for the fact that the beds were comfortable and, other than a fire alarm incident, the night of our stay was uneventful. We had a party of five, and two of our friends in one of the three rooms we booked had their fire alarm go off for seemingly no reason. None of us smoke, and when two members of the security staff came to investigate, they agreed that there was absolutely no smell of smoke in the room, and were equally confused as to why the smoke alarm went off. The security staff then proceeded to climb up on a chair and remove the smoke alarm from the ceiling with a literal pocket knife, causing damage to both the ceiling and the smoke detector itself, and leaving chips of drywall all over the floor. Our party then proceeded to request a new room from the front desk staff, who complained to us that she had been left to man the front desk alone with no manager or training on how to handle this issue. She proceeded to call her manager to complain about his poor management, leaving us to wait and listen until she completed said call to book the new room.

If this had been the end of our issues with the hotel, I would have had very little issue with our stay, in spite of the fact that this would still have been far from the standards that I have come to expect from Hilton hotels. However, the next day, a new woman staffing the front desk very rudely accused my friends of the damage caused to the room, and told them that they would be charged a $250 damage fee. When my friends asked to speak to the manager, she cavalierly responded that there was no manager on duty that day, but that she spoke with him on the phone. She then refused to allow us to speak to said manager to explain our side of the events. To my knowledge, she also never spoke to the security staff who removed the alarm to confirm whether the room smelled like smoke, which it did not.

To make matters worse, she proceeded to call security and have our friends removed from the hotel after they started to call the corporate office to file a complaint in a clear retaliation attempt. One of us is a diamond member, and both of us have been staying at Hilton hotels for many, many years with wonderful service, in stark contrast to the experience we had here. We have filed a complaint with the corporate office. Both the front desk person and the manager who handled this issue are poor representatives of the Hilton brand, and I hope that they are removed from their jobs for what is undoubtedly not the first incident of piss...

A Delightful Stay at Oklahoma City Tru by Hilton: A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Hospitality

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oklahoma City Tru by Hilton, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the hotel to the moment I checked out, every aspect of my stay was simply outstanding.

First and foremost, the warm and friendly welcome I received from the staff made me feel right at home. The manager on duty went above and beyond by providing my kids with complementary play cards, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. Their thoughtfulness truly made a lasting impression on our family.

The hotel room itself was exceptionally comfortable and well-designed. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that the hotel took great pride in providing a cozy and inviting environment for its guests. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep after a long day of exploration.

One aspect that truly stood out during our stay was the breakfast. It was an absolute delight! The wide array of options catered to every palate, and the food was prepared with utmost care and attention. From freshly baked pastries to a variety of hot and cold dishes, we were spoiled for choice. Moreover, the breakfast area was immaculate and well-maintained, reflecting the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

The staff's dedication to customer service was remarkable. They were always available to assist with any queries or requests we had, and their promptness and professionalism were commendable. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or attending to our needs, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional.

Furthermore, the hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. We were able to explore the vibrant city of Oklahoma City effortlessly, thanks to the hotel's prime location.

In conclusion, my experience at Oklahoma City Tru by Hilton was truly remarkable. The exceptional service, delectable breakfast, and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and memorable stay in Oklahoma City. I am grateful to the entire staff for their hospitality, and I look forward to returning...

As far as hotels go, it checked all the boxes for rooms. Not great for parking large vehicles or trailers. What really was the issue here was the overall service. We had the unfortunate circumstance of having our vehicle stolen during the morning of October 2nd. We were mid move across the country, and we lost not only our vehicle, but tens of thousands of dollars of our personal items, including wedding photos and other irreplaceable items. Upon the initial discovery of the stolen vehicle, we called 911 and notified the front desk. The desk attendant did not have access to the cameras and told us that she notified the GM to provide the footage to police. About an hour later, the police had finished their collection of information and still had not heard anything about the footage. The same attendant said that she was waiting and that hopefully the GM would be in soon. As we were trying to find out how we should continue with our move, I decided to move our uhaul truck to somewhere in view of the lobby so that we could have some semblance of security of our remaining items while we dealt with the ramifications of the theft. No sooner than having placed the vehicle in park on the backside of the hotel on the edge of the property line, the front desk attendant said that her boss, who decided to finally come to work, said I was 'taking up too much good parking and that I needed to move my vehicle farther away". The parking lot was only 30 percent full on a Wednesday morning, so there was no need for the handful of spots I had occupied temporarily, just so I could hopefully not have the remaining 2/3rds of my items be stolen. It has been a week and we have not received a single follow up regarding the footage from that morning. The neighboring Marriott front desk was more helpful and I didn't even stay there. This properties management should seriously be re-evaluated for their ability to provide any sort of empathy or humanity. The only level of comfort provided was by the breakfast attendant who brought my distraught wife a cup of water, which in the moment, was a kind gesture. The greatest rooms and amenities mean nothing if the people operating them don't meet the mark....
