Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Olathe

October 2021 revised review: I initially made an order via the app, and must have mistakenly hit carryout instead of drive thru. I did not notice, neither did the person at the speaker who recited my order back to me. After a bit of confusion our order was located and brought to the window where an male adult employee proceeded to talk down to me and try to admonish me for coming through the drive thru for a carryout order and made it seem as it was a huge inconvenience for him. I then went inside to place an order for things we forgot to order. While inside I received a call from my wife explaining we were missing a fruit cup. I mentioned it to the carryout attendant who went to grab one. While doing so a female employee asked the attendant repeatedly what the name for the order was. I explained the issue and she repeated several times that she packed the order and there were two cups in the bag. I explained my wife was looking in the bag when she called but she insisted that was incorrect. After being called a liar i dropped it and left. As I am walking to my car the same employee followed me out to my car to what I assume was for purposes of being vindicated in her order packing abilities. Once she confronted my family and I in the parking lot it was revealed that she in fact had not put two fruit cups in the bag as she was previously so sure she had. My wife feeling victimized asked if confronting patrons in the parking lot she began to try and back pedal her way out of it. She had brought out a fruit cup with her that she handed over to us prior to us leaving. Since the remodel this store has gotten worse and worse. I come to this establishment for my family but I dread every visit as it is worse than the last. I am certain I will never visit this...

I have never had a poor experience at a chick fil a so I would normally be super lenient but this was just awful awful.

Placed an order on the app and then pulled up to the drive through. Signage was confusing, two drive through lanes but guidance cones around one and I didn’t know if that was where I needed to be. Got up to one of the two order screens and no one ever came on the intercom, about 8-10 cars went through the other one. I asked if anyone was there and no answer, so finally I just pulled through. I noticed the car behind me had to do the same thing. The wait was wayyy longer than normal for a chick fil a, and when I got up to the window and explained they didn’t seem to care that the intercom wasn’t working , got my name and had me pull ahead to wait even longer. I pulled ahead, waited, finally was brought an order but it wasn’t mine. Then more waiting, brought my food but no drinks, lady had to go back for those. The lady was nice but didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing.

Possibly all caused by low staffing since there were hiring posters everywhere, but if they didn’t want to staff the outer drive thru intercom they should have had a sign, and had someone who was more experienced working...

I ordered catering platter of chicken nuggets, couple gallons of drinks, ice & ice bucket from here because it is the nearest location to Gardner. I got a text message that food was ready. Headed there and everyone I encountered had a smile on their face. Even the lady at the drive-thru, who told me I couldn't pick up in the drive-thru, was genuinely nice. I picked up inside. Even though they were really busy inside and out, they greeted me as I walked up and picked up my order. Even offered and helped walk some of it out to my car. Made it home for nephew's birthday dinner and kiddos loved the food. Drinks were great. Nothing bad to say. Chick-fil-A you never cease to impress...(This is my first time to this location, as I have been to MANY different locations in different states; FL, GA, NV, AZ, CA, KS) Although I did see the negative reviews, many of them had something bad to say about the food... I am almost positive if they weren't satisfied, they could have walked up to the counter to ask for it to be remade, or called to inform them of their satisfaction.
