Me and my husband stopped into Big Shots today in OOB, a bar that I went to 6 years ago that was known for their iconic Shark Bowls. This time we were just looking for a mimosa and a beer, but we ended up having one of the best experiences of our whole trip! The bar has had a total glow-up since I last came here years ago, it looks amazing inside now. Way better atmosphere and super clean.
We sat at the bar and were lucky enough to get George and Lexi as our bartenders, and they were both amazing. George especially was next level. He made us feel so welcome, hyped up the energy with some hilarious cheers for our shots, and somehow convinced us to try the pork belly bites even after just coming from breakfast (the pork was absolutely insane… like crispy, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth 10/10 good). Of course the mimosa was fantastic too.
What really stood out though is how genuinely helpful George was. We mentioned we were going horseback riding tomorrow and he took the time to help us figure out a better route so we wouldn’t waste time driving. And the shots he did the cheers for us were in honor of the Jell-O Shot Competition that they have where if you take a Jell-O shot they keep count of what state you’re from (Massachusetts was in first place, our home state, so we had to add to it!)
If you’re in OOB and looking for a drink, a snack, or just good vibes with people who actually care, go to Big Shots. Trust me.
P.S. I tried to add the location to my Snapchat story but it wouldn’t come up, so I put in a request for the location to be added 😇 Sorry for the...

There were ten of us in our thirties, including two pregnant women. We ordered shooters, beers, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. The evening was going well, we had fun with each other and also with the staff who were friendly at the time.
At a certain time the manager decided the bar was closing without making a lastcall. The doorman came and violently snatched the glass from my friends' hands when they asked him if they could take at least 5 minutes to drink it even though they had ordered it 3 minutes earlier without knowing at the time that the bar was going to be closed. This same doorman literally pushed another friend of mine towards the exit just after the announcement. The same doorman harassed my pregnant friend who had a water bottle, trying to make her admit that she was taking alcohol out of the bar in her bottle even though she had just filled it with water.
The bar made loads of money with us because there wasn't a customer in the bar when we arrived. After the money was made, they stopped being nice and kicked us out in a rude and disrespectful manner.
I want to say that the bartender, George, was the only nice and really sweet employee from...
Read moreI went to this bar and ordered a tequila and pineapple juice. The bartender gives me a tequila and soda. Now…. I’ve had bariatric surgery and can not drink anything carbonated. So I bring the drink back to the bartender and say…. “Hey, I’m sorry, but I ordered a tequila and pineapple juice but there is soda in here, can you remake it for me?” He takes my drink pours it into another cup and puts a splash of pineapple juice in it. I say, “I’m sorry, this is not what I order, I can’t drink anything carbonated “. He proceeds to tell me that, that is what I ordered and when I refused the drink he threw me out of the bar! Terrible place! Poor customer service! Do not spend...
