We’ve lived in the Olympia area for many years and recently dined in at Da Nang after a strong recommendation from a friend- their go-to Pho location. Thai tea was great- surprised to see no ice but I guess that means more Thai tea!! 😁 I find many Thai teas to be overly sweet and have an artificial flavor to them. This tasted legit. Still likely full of terrible ingredients/dyes...ha...but a great periodic treat nonetheless. We ordered 3 appies- bbq pork (not the best flavor, and consider yourself warned...some of the HOTTEST hot mustard that has set foot in my mouth), honey walnut shrimp (my family raved, I didn’t try any), and fresh spring rolls (perhaps now my favorite spring roll in town and DELISH peanut sauce). For the main fare, we ordered Pho (our favorite Pho remains elsewhere), vermicelli salad (different name but same idea and was very tasty) and a teriyaki combo plate (fried egg rolls have a strange patè interior 🤔). We were only 1 of 3 tables inside, so only 1 waiter and he was great. Kept all of our needs met. One bit of significance to mention is that the menu is very pricey. Pricier than the value in my opinion. While we had a nice experience, we will opt to go elsewhere for Vietnamese/Asian fusion foods in the future, mostly due to...

I used to be a huge fan. Lately, I've ordered delivery from this restaurant. I recently made a comment to my partner that Da Nang seems to be messing up our orders more frequently than not.

On the last few occasions, I ordered vegetarian "almond chicken," which comes with deep friend imitation chicken and a sort of almond sauce to drizzle over the almond crumbles.

The sauce they've delivered is clearly old, as if they've made it earlier in the week and kept it refrigerated. However, the sauce is beyond edible and has separated into a sort of hard lump of almond and smelly old oil. On top of receiving old, curdled almond sauce, I've received congealed peanut sauce for the spring rolls. I have a feeling they are not cleaning out their refrigerator as frequently as they should.

In addition to the gross sauces, the new delivery guy seems to chain smoke with the windows up in his car while delivering the food, leaving the food and packaging with a very strong stench of cigarette smoke.

I'm not someone to leave bad reviews. I've given them at least 5 chances. Unfortunately, I no longer have an appetite for Da Nang. Dine-in if you eat here, so you can see the food...

This was my second time picking up pho from this restaurant and the last. I ordered the deluxe, it comes with 3 meats one of them being meat balls. I arrive home noticed didn’t have meat balls. Called the restaurant asked what does the deluxe pho have just to make sure it was not an error on my part. The gentleman confirmed that it has 3 meats. I notified him I did not have that. He puts me on hold and comes back to tell me kitchen said they put it in your order, I told him if it was I wouldn’t be calling him. He tells me next time you come we put meat balls. I ask should I get some type of credit for my next order he said he can give me $1 and I ask him if I wanted meat balls added to my order or any order I am sure he wouldn’t be charging me $1. He then tells me do you want the dollar or not !? I have people here and it’s busy. I hanged up!! I don’t know why costumer service is so bad these days or don’t know how business with bad service manage to stay...

My first time here at Da Nang in Olympia and certainly will NOT be the last. Walked in to this place with amazing thai food aromas. We were a big group for lunch and were promptly seated. We ordered their delicious crispy fresh egg rolls which paired perfectly with their thai sweet & spicy sauce. For the mains, we ordered their Chicken Singapore noodles (delicious), curry fried rice with prawns and with chicken (tasty), yellow curry (divine) and their Mongolian beef (was good but tad too sweet even though we asked for 5 star spice level on this one). The food was delicious and I really liked how their shrimp was cooked to perfection in the fried rice or the curries it would just melt in your mouth. We skipped desserts. We also ordered their house tea which lacked a little flavor but was okay for a cold rainy day in Olympia. Service was good. Food is out pretty quick. All in all this is a good Thai place in Olympia downtown if you want to save yourself to Lacey.

Our new favorite place for bunh (#34 Vietnamese vermicelli rice noodle salad!!) -- our old fave Vietnamese place shall not be named :'( this place is closer anyway + it's nice to contribute to a downtown Oly business that's still thriving ... anyway, went back next week to order the same #34. I was still thinking about it. They're very nice here + speedy whether you order in or take out. We also got the pho, excellent, they are generous with the pho garnishes unlike SOME pho places. HumBao appetizer also pillowy and delicious, not too sweet. Banana boba -- if you like bananas, treat yourself! Interesting decor, they really put in some effort + there's quite a bit of seating + the interior is also spacious, I know some people like restaurants that way. I appreciate that they're not just "phoning in" their restaurant business + we will be back!
