Awful. Manager has always been awkward to the point of being rude but the food up until today has been good. Today I felt we were discriminated against either for the manager thinking we were gay or for not being old and wealthy. After declining maybe the worst seat in the house by the door and by the kitchen, the quality of food we were served was poor. My daughter had ordered pulled pork and it was a wet sloppy stringy mess. It looked like mushy cat food. It soaked her bun. Our fries were luke warm at best, greasy thin, and burnt potatoes peelings. My hamburger has a solid round of onion a quarter inch thick and lettuce was all over my plate. We ate as much as we could, we do not like to waste food. Especially at that price. We should have got up and left the food was that poor in comparison to what we had there before. The waitress seemed concerned because we were so quiet, we said it was good because what are you supposed to say?! This meal is awful?! At the table right next to us three elderly wealthy woman were waiting for their meal. One of them had ordered pulled pork. I was curious what hers would be like. Their fries were large, no peelings to be seen, not greasy perfectly golden fries and they looked hot. The pulled pork was piled high and was meaty chunks not the watery pork swill they served my daughter. I have never felt so targeted and disrespected--receiving unequal treatment and quality of food. I honestly think it was the manger's hostility towards us for whatever reason. I am disappointed. I was trying to take my daughter to have some good food for a nice lunch. We will never go there again and will tell everyone we know and work with, we both work for large employees in the area, about our experience, the poor and unequal meals we received. This manager also owns the ice cream shop two doors down, I will not give this woman our business again at the Cascadia Grill or her ice cream shop. Honestly I am so disappointed a business owner would allow customers to be treated this way. There is a really great place, Italian I think right across from the farmers market. If you want really good food and to be treated with courtesy, respect and equal treatment regardless of your status or wealth try anywhere but here. I looked at Google employee reviews and a former employee said the manager served food off the floor to a customer, after our experience this does not surprise me. Be good to yourselves and go eat anywhere else...

First time ever going and we definitely won't be back. We were so excited to go here but everything was wrong. It started with the drinks and appetizers that we had ordered right when we walked in.. my son ordered a lemonade and my other son ordered the bread basket we were waiting for 2 more people to arrive so this would give us something to snack on. We never got the lemonade ever. And the bread came right before the food amd it took us quite awhile to order since none of us had been there. The bread came it was dry room temperature bread with cold butter. So you couldn't spread it on. Everyone's food came. My son said can I please have a sprite since my lemonade never came. She like yes sorry I meant to bring that when I bring the bread(which we had to ask for twice) . The food was definitely not worth going for. My son ordered chicken it was raw and his fries were over cooked and I wish I was exaggerating. I'm a manager of a restaurant myself and I was shocked at how bad the food was. 3 people ordered soup (which my family loves) . All of us took a spoonful and ate no more. My mom later asked me how the soup was because she noticed NONE of us ate it. I said it tasted like frozen broccoli, she's like .. you mean like they useded frozen. I said no like the frozen broccoli they used was freezer burnt and it over powered everything else. We were going to spread my uncles ashes and had to do that and do back out to eat because we were all starving. My mom later confessed her burger was raw as well but she made herself eat half of it. As a manager of a restaurant you could see none of us ate any of our food we are never ones to complain but after thinking about the meal for a few hrs and the review popping up to ask me how it was I thought we had to save to take the family out today, to get together to spread ashes of my uncle and the service and meal kinda ruined the whole day. Like I said we will definitely not be back. They also added the tip on and a service charge for using a card and we...

I really, really wanted to like this place. Didn't quite work out.

Nov 29th, 2019. We were a party of 13, with several kids. I know this can be challenging. They put us at two tables (perfect) in the room to the right as you come in. I think the room on the left as much more ambiance.

Our primary waiter, David, did a great job keeping things moving. We had to send back a very over-cooked steak, and the replacement arrived quickly. $3 for bread seems ridiculous, and if you want more it's another $3. We ordered a lot of food. You'd think they would cover a little bread? No. That's just cheap.

The wine list is tiny but sufficient and very reasonable. The wine was chilled in a plastic bucket that looked like it had seen much kitchen service. The 'other' server (female--didn't catch name), put it on the table. Just gross. Don't even bother if that's all you can do.

We had two dishes, spaghetti impossiballs and vegan carrot cake, that were terrible. I didn't notice the problem with the meatless balls until after we'd finished our entrees since my daughter had ordered it and she was at a different table (she didn't want to make a fuss). Server DID notice, but did nothing. I mentioned the problem with the carrot cake to both David and 'other' server (female) helping at our table. Both just shrugged. The cake was probably delish when fresh. This one was clearly past its prime. Four of us had a bite, and each had to wash it down with something. 80% of the cake was sitting on the plate, but the servers did nothing.

Finally, they added a 20% gratuity to the bills.... and didn't mention it. I don't mind seeing the gratuity added, but... (1) the server should mention it and (2) adding 20%? How about 15% or 18%?

I really want downtown businesses to succeed, and CG did get a lot right with our large and challenging group. But they dropped the ball on a couple of simple things that would have showed that they really cared about...

Walking into this petite grill we were welcomed by a feeling of warmth, good smells and a collection of wooden carved figurines. After being seated at an extremely small table (16 inch round table, think nightstand or coffee table) in the corner next to the windows, we were forgotten about. We ordered poutine as an appetizer and I ordered the schnitzel burger and my other half ordered something called the db cooper. Finally we received the appetizer, our waters were empty by that point and my partner finished his ale. Nothing was refilled. The appetizer was fairly good but the fries were overcooked. Then we waited quite some time before a gentleman came and took our plates and asked if we would like our bill or some deserts to which we notified him that we were still waiting for our food. Once the food arrived it was absolutely massive. There was no way I could even pick the burger up let alone attempt to bite into it. The mustard overpowered the flavour of the burger. And the schnitzel wasnt seasoned well. The fries again were overcooked. My partner enjoyed his burger topped with corn beef. I watched other customers walk in and be treated very well. Some people even getting tours of the restaurant by the manager. People came and went as we sat and waited for refills on our water and our bill. I'm not saying this is a bad place to go. The food is fairly good, if you can get past the fries and it will definitely fill you up and leave you with leftovers. The service played a big role in why I wasnt thoroughly impressed. If I was treated as royally as every other customer was I might have had a different opinion.

We are only in town a couple days. Walked by yesterday and the place looked good so we came back today to check it out. We sat at a booth for a while and watched some Monday Night Football. The interior is decorated with a mix of Pacific Northwest and icons. It is fun to around and identify different items. Once we got service it was great. We waited about 20 minutes. Not sure what happened there but the next booth that was seated after us were waited on quickly with drink orders right away and checked on frequently. We eventually flagged someone down to ask if we could order and flustered at first by hearing we hadn't received service they helped us out the rest of the time and it was good from there on out. Thank you, Rowan! I asked to sample some IPAs, and for food suggestions, and we ordered food and desserts. The keg blew of the beer I intended to order so Rowan suggested another and it was delicious. We had the coho with the fried risotto cake, grilled romaine, Reuben with side salad, cheesecake of the day, brown sugar pie, and the vegan cheesecake. The menu here is impressive and there's a whole veggie/vegan menu as well as omni options. When I'm back in town I would come back for the food and maybe watch another game. Probably sit at the bar next time instead.

Cascadia Grill ended up being one of those pleasant surprises, a happy mistake for us on our travels. We never really intended on stopping in Olympia on our vacation, in fact our destination was Tacoma but in a little bit of a mixup, we stopped in Olympia for supper and ate at the Cascadia Grill. The vibe is something else, reminding me of an old-time, smaller town parlour or tavern. The dark wood and anything-but-contemporary vibe made it a charming experience. Also, being treated to live jazz music during our meal was a nice surprise, too. The food was pretty good — I wouldn’t say that it was amazing, but it was really good and worth the stop on our long road trip. The craft beer selection — which I’m always on the lookout for new beer to try — was modest at best. I was hoping for a much bigger selection to choose from, but still a decent offering. Certainly better than being stuck with InBev products for sure. All around, Cascadia Grill is a great place to stop for food, a beer or two, and classy live music. I think we’d probably stop in again if we ever found ourselves in the Olympia area again.
