My favorite place for seafood in Oly. all the food tastes amazing, it’s fresh, and prices are reasonable. The staff there is friendly and tells me how to cook whatever I order when I ask - I’ve gotten: oysters, mussels, smoked salmon and crab cakes (all SO GOOD) but I also have gotten some of their fish fillet. Love their clam chowder too! They often have fresh bread and bagels from local bakeries too and lots of other great stuff. Love having this fish market nearby

Just paid $33/lb for mushy, bland, pale salmon that tastes like farmed salmon to me. It was labeled "fresh ocean king salmon" and yet it is so horrible it is inedible. I've been eating wild salmon for 20+ years and have never tasted anything so mushy and bland. I'm wondering now if this is why the term "wild" was not on the label.

Delicious seafood. Bought some ruby red salmon for about 15 dollars a pound there. It was absolutely amazing. It is more expensive than most grocery stores, but it is also much fresher. Basically a quality vs quantity issue. If you can afford to splurge sometimes, I think it worth it.

I used to love this place. But unfortunately, twice now I've wanted to buy about $30-$40 of salmon and they refused to cut a filet for me. They had big, 2+ pound, filets laying there in the case and I wanted about half of one and the young man working there refused to cut it. He told me I had to buy the whole piece or nothing. What?! Buying a pound or pound and a half is pretty standard. Why would a business be unwilling to do that? Unfortunately, today was the second time they've done this to me. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke (maybe an issue with just one employee) but now a different employee has done the exact same thing to me and I'M DONE! It's sad that I've spent thousands of dollars here over 15 years, but I won't go back. It's such a waste of my time (and insulting) to go into a store and ask for a pound of fish and be told to buy the whole 2 pound filet or go away. Well, fine, I...

I like to support independently owned businesses, and have always tried to buy my seafood from these folks. I've rec'd their emails for many years, and last week I bought the Seafood Pack to make some Cioppino, and was quite shorted on the deal. There should have been 2/3 lb. of clams, but there was only 5 oz. I weighed them a few times, on two different scales, since I figured I must be mistaken, but not so. The scallops were close, but came in a bit short as well. And the rockfish was difficult to determine since there was no weight provided on what we should have been able to expect. Just 'a filet', was stated. I was disappointed....I had a pot of Cioppino to make, and not enough seafood to really...

We picked up the special tonight of shrimp, scallops, rockfish and clams. When we entered the shop, the place had a strong cleaning smell. I initially thought it was bleach. After we returned home and cooked our food, I learned the smell was in the shrimp itself. I've never tasted shrimp so bad. The scallops had enough of the chlorine smell to cover up the scallop taste. I suspect the scallops picked it up from the shrimp since everything was tossed together. I will not be going back. Full warning: if it doesn't have a pleasant ocean smell in...
