The Owl's Nest Coffee + Pastries stands out as my go-to coffee with a bakery option in Olympia, where I can visit multiple times a week. In the downtown area, it competes with two unique coffee and bakery options in close proximity, yet The Owl's Nest captures me more often than not. Perhaps the 'closest' or the welcoming staff draws me in, but it's worth noting that the other establishments are wonderful. What sets The Owl's Nest apart is not just the quality of its offerings but the warmth and dedication of its staff. The presence of the owner, sometimes working alongside her mother, adds a personal touch that I greatly admire. It's a pleasant atmosphere, combined with the staff remembering a face. For those with dietary preferences or restrictions, The Owl's Nest offers an all-vegan and gluten-free menu, a rarity compared to its local counterparts. This and its cozy ambiance make it an essential stop for anyone looking for quality plant-based options. I'll admit, sometimes completely vegan places can turn me off if there is a sense of 'superiority' about the choice, but never here, so I deeply appreciate they do this very well. The menu at The Owl's Nest boasts an array of delectable choices, from their rich coffee and tea beverages to homemade pastries, sandwiches, and salads. While I tend to gravitate towards their coffee and pastries — particularly enjoying their muffins and cookies — my mother has raved about the scones, which are reportedly a must-try. The Owl's Nest features Trailhead coffee and Metolius tea, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients and showcasing a commitment to supporting Northwest-Oregon brands. I grew up in Oregon and appreciate seeing some Oregon Brands in Olympia. Their ethical approach and dedication to quality are evident in every aspect of their business. In summary, The Owl's Nest Coffee + Pastries is more than just a coffee shop; it's a delightful spot that combines excellent food and drink with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a beautiful place.

THE BEST ESPRESSO AND TREATS WE’VE EVER HAD!!!! You know how it is, you just want a great espresso and maybe a nice treat on your vacation, but who to trust? We stopped here and the reviews were true. I got a blackberry mocha and my husband got a cappuccino. The drinks were so smooth and heavenly. Perfectly sweet, balanced, insanely delicious. I got a scone, which I normally don’t even like, and it was still warm from the oven. My husband got a maple scone, and it was delightful! It was so good in fact, before we left, we stopped by a second time and I got an iced almond milk latte. I was expecting it to taste like the typical crappy latte you get everywhere else because of the almond milk always making the espresso tasting burned. Not true! This place was like creamy heavenly iced almond milk latte that I didn’t even know could exist. My husband got the basic witch and absolutely loved it! That’s a pumpkin spice latte. We also got some cookies and yet again, absolute magic. The only thing sad is that I think it will be a really long time before I have incredible espresso and treats like this again. 10 out of 10 don’t miss this place! oh yeah, the staff was freaking awesome!!!!!

just moved to Olympia and so happy to find the Owl’s Nest. Best pastries (vegan too!!) and amazing coffee with a really nice vibe. I have already visited three times in two weeks cause it’s just my favorite. The drink specials are fun also- last weeks was lavender latte (oat milk for me) and this weeks cardamom vanilla. So good. Grateful for this lil coffee shop in the heart of Olympia. —— Updating my review because google won’t let me leave another 5 star review. A year later and this remains our favorite local coffee shop! They continue to have delicious drink specials and their new lunch/breakfast menu is SO good and love that it’s all vegan. The owners mom (I think name is Diane) is so sweet and welcoming and made us the best pumpkin spice latte and London fog today and just had the best vibes. Thanks Owls Nest for creating such a cozy and delicious atmosphere- a sweet little place to get a treat after a hard week at work.

Trying to type a review without posting a novel. Haha! So I will get to the point. I had the Breakfast Panini with Veggie Sauce, Lavender Scone, and a Caramel Americano.

First of all, the coffee was just how I like it, the scone was a great pair with the coffee. Nothing was too sweet, that is always a concern of mine. And the customer service was so good! Everyone is so kind!

But the panini?!! My gosh was it full of flavors! I tried so hard not to just scarf it down. They really did it 👌🏽 You can tell they care about quality. Don't visit this place without trying a panini.

The atmosphere was wonderful. Not sure if that is because I was sitting alone in the soft armchair by the window, but the music was calming and happy, I didnt feel exposed, the plants were sitting there next to me keeping me company, and even the lighting was warm. I felt at ease here. I could have stayed for an hour! And I almost did! 😂

I may be easy to please, but it was SUCH...
