First off I want to preface this by saying Im new to the area and so was the person whom I was with I’ve had a lot of experiences in my 30 years of life, especially with living overseas, but this one takes the cake. 😂 also my waitress was very nice .While I know the owner cannot control the conversations of her patrons, one of which I was told by the person whom I met there was a little racially insensitive. Her own behavior and comments should be importance to her should anybody else who looks like me come and not have the same. Disregard for foolishness that I do. Initially, the comments were very nice when she came out after a while to greet us a little bit of undertones in some of the things she was saying but I noticed she was visibly intoxicated so I brushed it off because It’s humpday and I want to relax lol. The energy was so off though the vibe was trash. The person I’m with and I continue our conversation having a good time, though we didn’t let it stop us until she got up to go to the bathroom and another round of conversation started between the owner and I afterwards she went and approached some people at the bar whom she told me worked for her, and proceeded to make a racist joke. She said who won the Mrs Ebonics pageant, Idaho. Now don’t tell anybody I told you that joke if you don’t know what Ebonics means google it. 😂 Now I like a joke I’m not an overly sensitive person clearly because I stayed even though our first encounter was kind of strange but with us being the obvious only people of color, not just in the bar but sort of in the plaza ,from what I saw driving, that this bar is in that had me flabbergasted to say the least😂. I still stayed because I got the feeling that was a small attempt to make us uncomfortable. I could be wrong. It could just be the ramblings of a drunken middle-aged woman.Either way I stayed until closing because I don’t leave out of places until I’m ready. Aside from that the menu could use a revamp and some better pairings of food. we got a veggie platter and it looked like baby carrots from the bags to get from the grocery store. For the price it could’ve been better quality but that’s just me as someone who’s experienced places like this in California and overseas. I might just be a little bit spoiled. This isn’t the same...
Read more2nd time there and actually liked it alot until last night. The owners and staff were very rude. I could tell they planned a too many events (3 actually that I know of!) at the same time in their tiny bar with hardly any help! I never received my food order after an hour of waiting. My boyfriend went to the bar at 6 to buy us tickets to see Phsyic Suzanna and they sold out. There were no were promoted that said FIRST COME FIRST SERVE TO BUY TICKETS! All it said was doors open 500 See Suzanna 6-830.
Thaen I had a friend that was asked to leave for only drinking "water"!! NOT EVERYONE DRINKS! Too bad because we had many girls there who are wine drinkers and now will never go back again. There are way too many other good lounges and bars in WEST Omaha...
Read moreI was looking for a small venue to host a bridal shower for my best friend and stumbled upon Cellar44. I reached out to Wendy and she was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. She was super flexible when we had a hiccup with the original date, and made me feel so at ease.
Before the event, my husband and I stopped over to sort out some details. We stayed for a glass of wine and were super impressed with the selection. They also offer a great appetizer menu and have live music a few days a week!
During the event, Wendy was such a wonderful hostess and made sure we had everything we needed. The space is absolutely stunning and you can tell she puts so much care into...
