I took my family here this past Sunday evening. When approaching the door you can see through the windows, of course, plus it was fairly dark making it even easier. Upon approaching and entering the building, the two employees on staff were sitting on each other’s lap. Appeared to maybe be like a boyfriend/girlfriend situation based off their demeanor? Not 100% sure, but just seemed very unprofessional and kind of made things awkward for how they were acting.. as if we caught them doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing or that we did something wrong by walking in the store. We ordered some drinks, took a few sips in store but nothing crazy as we needed to get on the road to head out of town. As we proceed to leave we said thank you to employees with no response, which is fine, they maybe didn’t hear us. But, as we tried our drinks more the worse it got. The regular tapioca boba seemed as if someone just spit a big thing of boogers in your mouth. No flavor, completely over done tapioca boba. The drinks even though we ordered fairly strong flavored drinks -brown sugar, matcha, etc have very minimal to no flavor. Overall, not a great experience for a first time visit. Honestly, the drive to Thirstea way down on Dodge is much more worth the drive.. not only for the drink flavors but we have yet to be made felt awkward or like we did something wrong walking in the store during normal...
Read moreSorry but the boba today was so bad. I’ve been to this place a couple times and always liked it. Had a particularly stressful morning and chose to take the edge off with some boba. I’m super pregnant and was really let down- just adding to my “ugh” type of day. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with an extra scoop of boba. The boba was all mushy- similar to thick jelly or clumps of potatoes. It should be chewy like gelatin balls. And the drink had chunks of crystallized brown sugar in it. I can’t even get it through my straw and it’s all melted or clumped together. It’s giving soggy raisin. Drinking it because I already drove off and I paid for it (and paid for the extra scoop of boba). But not the type of day for this. Just look at the texture of the boba and drink. Absolutely not right. Boba was either overcooked or sitting out too long. Been here before and the boba isn’t ever this terrible- it’s...
Read moreI ordered the Taro and Crème Brûlée boba drinks on DoorDash for pickup. When I arrived and told the staff I was there to pick up my order, I gave them my name—but instead of checking the order, the guy asked if I was a DoorDash driver. I clarified that I was picking it up for myself, yet he still proceeded to thank me for “delivering their order,” completely ignoring what I had just said.
When I got to my car, I noticed the seal on the Crème Brûlée drink was already broken. So I drank that one first. It was just okay—very watered down and not memorable. The next day, I went to shake up the Taro drink, only to realize it wasn’t sealed either. That one somehow tasted even worse.
Between the poor service, broken seals, and disappointing drinks, I won’t...
