I am extremely upset with the level of customer service that the business owner, Ben, and his team at Cheeseburger Blackstone are practicing. After visiting the restaurant for lunch in late January, I sat down at their front seating and fell as a result of my chair falling into their vent cover not being secured to the ground.
One staff member ran to the front to see if I was okay but didn't offer any next steps such as an apology, a comped meal, or help picking up the area after the fall. After reaching out to management, I was told no one was available to speak to. I was given Ben's email and he did not respond. After a follow up email, and a 1 star review, he finally reached out to acknowledge the incident. Although he agreed to take care of my medical expenses as a result of the concussion I sulfured, he never actually followed through. Instead he kept putting off communication and eventually got a lawyer to speak to me instead in efforts to settle. After sending updated billing, they still have not actually moved forward. The lawyer as also prolonged communication alleging he was on vacation. Again, this happened in January and we are almost in May.
I really like to support local businesses, but after suffering a concussion, missing work for follow ups, and still not receiving any direction from the owner I do not plan on returning to Cheeseburger. Their overpriced menu is not worth the stress it may come with for not properly taking care of their building or training their staff. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else, but...
Read moreThe food is fine, itâs over priced but itâs fine, however MY DUDES if another twenty something white guy in a tie dye shirt gives me attitude Iâm going to start listening to the bad voices in my head.
You guys have got to fix your to go system or just staff more people or something. This is the only place Iâve waited for 10-20 minutes literally staring at my order with my name on it right in front of me because of the little sign that says to wait for an employee to grab it for you.
I work in customer service and get people can be mega jerks but I swear I walk in and itâs like the employees are waiting for a fight, but you get the vibes you put out ya know? Itâs just a logistics issue, you need to get a dedicated staff member for to go pick ups if you donât want customers grabbing their orders off the shelf right in front of them. Thereâs no reason why customers with to go orders should have to wait for a line of people out the door to have their order taken, until there is no one else to serve just for the cashier to irritably hand them their to go order theyâve been staring at for the past 15 minutes.
Just get a floater for busy nights or a...
Read moreThe food here is so consistently delicious, that I truly could not use enough words to describe it. The burgers are always an 11 out of 10, for being so delicious and so simple. They all come with mustard, onion, and pickle. I always add a fried egg and bacon! I've been here probably 10 times in the past 2 months, and I have never gotten bad food or service.
The music is always amazing, and the posters from different tours decorate the walls. It definitely feels super homey, and that's one of the main reasons I keep coming back. A recent favorite is the patty melt. It has these caramelized onions and mushrooms that pair beautifully with 2 patties of delicious beef.
If you like snacks, bar food, or appetizers; I highly recommend an order of the french fries or onion rings. The peppery, salty kick of the batter on the onion rings is also on the fried chicken. Probably the best onion rings in Omaha honestly. They also have delectable options for shakes and malts.
TLDR; The best late night spot for a burger and onions rings, probably in this...
