Such a cute little shop, stopped by with my sister after a little event they had at Sonnys, first time at the inner rail so we were popping in every little store we could, Omar and Ryan were very helpful and personable being out first time there! Cafe wasn't too busy so Omar walked me through the menu with so much patience, we ordered a “limonana” and my sister had a dirty soda (wish we had been more adventurous as everything sounds so good, and im not a big coffee drinker) the lemonade hit the spot after a long hot day, and the real mint leaf was a nice touch! Thank you Ryan! We also had a “brekky” sandwich, which was based off a suggestion by them and it was delicious, even filled us in on what sauces they had by the entrance. Even if you don't have coffee stop by for the great customer service! I do wish they had a like “refresher” options for those of us who dont do coffee but still...
Read moreRandomly found this place with my husband on our way out of town, just desperately needed some coffee. Super cute little bodega. There was only one barista working, and they very well should have had more than one but they handled it with the expertise of someone who doesn’t lose their cool very easy (super jealous of that & their star patterned hair, I had to keep myself from gushing over them and their whole aesthetic but I digress)— it took a little while to get our order in and get our coffee but the place started filling up fast and again, only one person with two hands. Honestly the best cold brew I’ve had in a minute and I drink cold brew darn near every day. Give this employee a raise for their composure, professionalism and skill for handling a tiny bodega with 11 or so people like an absolute pro. We’ll be back the next time...
Read moreGodega Market and Coffee Bar is lovely little gem in the heart of the Old Market. This chic addition to the trendy downtown scene offers beer and wine sales for the last minute dinner party, a wide assortment of ready-to-eat food for the working lunch, dry goods, everyday groceries and everything in between. Last, but not least, Godega’s coffee bar is a step above any coffee shop I’ve been to in the Old Market. One particular morning I stopped in for a bacon-cheddar scone and Lehiwa, the friendly and super helpful barista fixed me up with a macchiato so perfect, it took me back to my day living in Italy. Mad props Lehiwa.
I recommend Godega to anyone visiting the Old Market. I definitely will come back next time...
