The absolute worst experience I have EVER had at a bar. To begin, our server made all of us feel uncomfortable with a rude tone and asked "What do you want?" when she first came over. (After not coming over to us for a long time). As if we were a burden to her. We all were appalled by the horrible service we received. She never asked if we wanted to keep our tabs open or not and she brought us our checks without us asking for them. It made us feel very unwelcome. We went inside to close a tab, and when we were leaving she held the door open for us. She said something snarky about how we should've tipped yet was the worst service I've ever had. I then said I expect good service. She said something about how we should come back. I said I won't. She then followed us around the corner to JD Tucker's to harass us on if we've ever been in the service industry and to try to make us feel bad for not tipping her. She also asked me how old I am and when I answered she immediately grimaced and walked away. The whole time she had followed us she could have been doing her job and serving her other guests. I will never come...

Read moreIt's not often that I go somewhere and end up throughly impressed! As soon as we walked in, I was met with the smell of coffee. So many places often burn their coffee products, but not Mr. Toad! I took a sip of my friend's drink, and even though I don't like darker coffee drinks, I was able to taste the flavor of the brew itself. The liquor was a plus! Additionally, there are different events on different days of the week, and a weekday happy hour. The Library is full of old court documents that people are encouraged to write in/leave notes in. It was very LGBTQ+ friendly, the staff were informative and very lovely. The patrons were also very nice! It's rare to see a good place with good patrons, but Mr. Toad has them! The drinks were wonderful, the company was fantastic, and the vibes were immaculate. I will be returning in the...
