My initial review wasn't going to be good, but the owner, Christopher, has changed my opinion of his second location. He was very open with us, listened to us, & collaborated with us. We absolutely Love the original Good Lookin on Underwood & decided to try this New location that is closer to home! This location was not up to the standard of his original place. Needs improvement to the customer service experience. We had fairly good food, good coffee, & orange juice, but quality wasn't as good as our unbelievable awesome yummy goodness in Dundee. Read my original review of the Dundee location and you will understand. This location has 1 coffee station, and we felt in the way as we tried to prepare our coffee. we asked why we received 2 paper cups and not a regular coffee cup, first response was "oh they leak so we give 2" next person response was "the mugs are for cappuccino's, I can't give everyone a mug, we don't have enough" we struggled getting creamers open. I almost hate to even review our experience because after talking to the owner, we felt he was very genuine, compassionate, & empathetic to our experience. He made the difference on us wanting to return to this location again. I ate the Good Lookin Bowl again, and the only difference i didn't care for was that the sweet potatoes were big chunks, and some were hard. Otherwise, the flavor was there! Hubby got Double Standard and he didn't like the sausage at all, dry & unusual flavor. But you decide if it's your taste, it wasn't his. You must try this place for yourself, I recommend the original location, but either one is worth a visit. They have gluten-free options that are noted on the menu. You order and then get your own coffee, utensils, & water....it's a different way for this atmosphere and service is rough on the edges, but with some time we hope the service is up to pare as the Dundee location! *Tried another visit today(1-25-25)...food was good, still ike the dundee location more. Had to wait for table, then asked if we could move together 2 smaller tables to accommodate us. Fruit cup was not fresh but the rest was good food. You must try...
Read moreCall us a sucker for breakfast places because we love that there’s no shortage of them in the Omaha area.
Walk up service and order at the counter as soon as you walk in, then grab your number and a place to sit. Great coffee bar choices as well, forgot to take a picture for the review of course, but the latte was absolutely awesome. Wife got the sugar cookie latte special.
We also grabbed the caramel cinnamon roll special, was definitely called something else, but it was amazing. They warmed it up for us, which was a nice option, and I’m pretty sure we got instant diabetes, but it was the good kind.
I also got one of their ricotta pancakes, which was the perfect texture for a pancake of this kind. I still love Early Bird and Vidlaks cakes better, but this is still a top of the line pancake. It’s just a style thing for me, and more nostalgic for the other two restaurants, but I’d gladly eat this pancake every day.
The smoked salmon and capers sandwich knocked it put of the park, the kids loved their French toast and we should have definitely just ordered one set for them to split, and the wife had so much burrito, the other half needed to be saved for another battle.
My favorite item here, the crispy potatoes. The crispy potatoes alone make this a five star establishment. Trust me,...
Read moreThe food was good but not as good as the location in Dundee. I haven't been to the Dundee location in about a year, though, so maybe both have declined. The service was very disappointing. I totally appreciate the idea of order at a counter and sit down and wait, I don't expect a server, and that's fine. But one of the girls working the counter: 20s, blonde ponytail, bright lipstick, was right out of one of those "when your server doesn't care if you live or die" TikToks. I asked if I could grab a cup for water and she looked at me like I asked her for a kidney. She directed me to where the designated water cups were. Nobody came to ask how the food was which is fine, I would have lied and said "great" anyway. We were finishing our food and a 60 year old woman came in to ask for a table for her party and the same girl just pointed at a couple of tables the customer could move together. She didn't offer to help and just stood there looking down at (presumably her phone). The other girl working was probably close in age, curly brown hair. She was lovely and polite, but again, not overly helpful.
Food was good and portions are large! Overall a...
