Soooo disappointing. We were so excited when they opened this location since we’re always looking for good breakfast/brunch places close to us, but I highly doubt we will ever be back. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait, but the waiting area is extremely cramped, which made it one of the most uncomfortable waits we’ve ever experienced. The host stand, checkout counter, and coffee bar are all in the same small corner, so there is minimal room plus a ton of cross-traffic from servers and other employees. In addition to the tiny waiting area, the hosts forgot about us AND two other couples who were waiting. They sat about two or three walk-in couples before one of the other waiting couples said something. After 25 minutes of waiting, we were finally sat and able to order. Our server was great, but the food was not. The breakfast potatoes tasted like nothing. The eggs and sausage gravy were just okay; we could have made much better and more flavorful at home for less, but what really stuck out to us was the meat. My boyfriend, who has worked in a kitchen, was surprised to find that his (overpriced) bacon was clearly low-quality sandwich bacon. At first he figured it was just not cooked well or something, so he asked for a new plate since he couldn’t even eat it. Less than a minute later the server comes back with a “new” plate of “bacon” just as gross as before, so he didn’t eat it (you can bet we were charged for it regardless though). I had a similar issue with my sausage links. My first bite, I actually thought it was spoiled, and I actually had my boyfriend taste it and he said the same thing before I even said anything. It had to either be spoiled, or just extremely poor quality with a bunch of fillers. Either way, it was disgusting and I didn’t take another bite. We left wishing we had just gone across the street to First Watch like we usually do, and I had a stomachache the rest of the morning. If you value your money and good breakfast food, don’t go here. Go to 11-Worth, Lisa’s Radial Cafe, Leo’s Diner, or First Watch. If you really want to eat here, I’d recommend Village Inn instead. Same meal at half the...
Read moreShort Summary: Beautiful venue, trendy menu - but poorly staffed, average food and, in my opinion, overrated
Details: We have gone to Le Peep twice now. The first time, we went with some friends who recommended it. We felt our waitress was standoff-ish, and service took forever - the wait to get our check after we had finished our meal was well over 20 minutes, and it wasn't even a full restaraunt. The most irritating part was that, as we were waiting for our check, several staff members were lounging around the coffee bar chatting. We decided to give it a second chance, since our friends love it so much & I enjoyed the coffee. We went for Sunday Brunch so we knew it would be busy, but we still left disappointed. After we were sat (which was a nightmare in itself), we had to wait 15 minutes for water - and the waitress didn't bring cups. We went ahead and ordered, and asked for cups to drink water. Waited 15-20 minutes, until the waitress brought out my boyfriend's soda - I asked about the cups & my latte, and she said they were still making my latte but that she would go grab cups. Took another 10 or so minutes, but we did finally get cups for our water. Our food arrived, and was very average - I feel like the french toast at IHOP is better, and cheaper. My latte never arrived; I asked a few more times, and she kept reassuring me it would be out "shortly". We had it removed from the bill since we had finished eating & the latte was still nowhere to be seen - disappointing, since I had been looking forward to it.
At a surface-level, this restaraunt offers trendy & delicious sounding food and drink in a beautiful atmosphere. In reality, the food is average, the tables are crowded, the wait staff is over-stretched and under-trained, and the prices are not worth it. I would go to First Watch or Early Bird before coming back to Le Peep; those places are equally trendy & busy, but they are staffed & designed to make sure customers get what...
Read moreMy husband and I were very excited to visit as we are always looking for new places to try. Walking in we were impressed with the layout and how clean everything looked. Honestly, our first thought was they are trying to compete with First Watch. I liked the water on the table, only downfall was that when I poured some in the glass, there was something floating in it, not sure what it was, it appeared to be something similar to wax. Upon my husband pouring his glass, the same waxy substance was present. We checked the other 2 glass on the table and you could visibly see there was something on them. We of course let our waitress know and she replaced the glasses. The waitress was sweet and tended to us well. I ordered the Aspen Fruit Crepes and I can honestly say, they were horrible. They had a sour milk taste to them. I took 2 bites and pushed my plate to the side. I also had a smoothie, it was very tasty. My husband had the Homestead Breakfast and a latte, they tasted great, lots of flavor, would recommend both. The waitress came by and ask if there was a problem with the crepes, I let her know that I did not like them and how they tasted. She ask if she could remove them from the table and of course I agreed. We finished up our meal and my husband took care of the check, he spoke with the lady at the register, letting her know what all had happened and she gave him a punch card with all ten punches to receive $10. The crepes that I did not eat were $11 so we basically did not have to pay for those. I would like to say that I would want to try going back, but honestly I do not think I would. It was not a good way to...
