The Durham Cafe is such a beautiful and pleasant space, with delicious food and gorgeous views. The matcha is ceremonial grade, warm, strait forward and refreshing. They offer a variety of baked treats (the chocolate chip cookie is really good) but the main dishes are chef level good. I was sad to go today and see they had gotten rid of the delicious rice dish, and that the “new menu” doesn’t include hardly any vegan options, except a house salad. There was also a panzanella salad that was labeled as “vg” for vegan but has burrata? This is a dangerous typo for those with allergies. I hope they do better. The menu has gotten very meat heavy, which seems the opposite of clean eating to me.
