This location gets compared to the Rochester branch. Here's the reason why: the food is CONSISTENTLY great at Rochester. I've been to this location 3 different times since open. First time, I couldn't recommend it because the fries were sadder than a wet paper bag and the concept of seasoning was a lost art. Second time was after 6pm. The burger was properly seasoned. The concept of crispy fries was still a foreign concept. I'll even add in a clean restaurant without garbage over flowing wasn't even in the business operating plans. Alright, 3rd time's a charm... Clean store--Check Welcoming environment and staff--Check Clean condiment station and garbage changed--Check Well seasoned food--Am I dreaming?! Fries that are FRIED and CRISPY--You bet! My knock on this location is the ability to put out consistently great food. 2 out of 3 times, this place has been cleaned. After 530pm, you may be entertained with a dinning experience that is not well maintained. 2 out of 3 times, I've had a real flavorful burger with fries that have been seasoned great. 2 out of 3 times, the fries have not met my standard as french FRIED (not crispy). A real expensive burger experience. Most part, really happy with the freshness of the food. Less than happy with how the food has been seasoned. Pending on the time, you could be walking into a train wreck sit-down dinning experience. As I shared earlier, the consistent quality of well seasoned food that matches the standard of 5 Guys. It's hit-and-miss at the Onalsaka branch. When they are on, you are getting a damn fine (expensive) burger experience.

My dad and I stopped here on our way out of La Crosse after we finished packing up my daughter's stuff and moving her back home for the summer from college. He'd never been there so I thought it'd be a good time to have him give it a try. He really liked the food but almost couldn't finish his burger; his order was almost exactly the same as mine, which was a Cheeseburger ( which, in Five Guy's lingo, is a double ), some fries and a drink. As with every time I've eaten at one of these restaurants, the food was HEAVENLY and I left the place groggy and nearly in a food coma. 😉👍 On top of the excellent food, the employees were all in a good mood, the restaurant was clean and tidy and the bathroom was in very good shape. You seriously need to hit Five Guys if you haven't done so already. The food isn't what I would consider to be cheap ( but what is nowadays ? ) but it's certainly quite tasty.

I came in After helping my daughter.. I ordered a double cheese and bacon burger... It took forever to get.. I watched them through the window they cooked And set it on the side of the grill after it was done... They fried the french fries and let them set and get cold.. Soon I will be sixty seven.. Very high calorie meal for me, it's not a treat, if it's cold....also they put on the cheese and Immediately wrapped it.. The cheese was Cold... it will be awhile.... 24$..and cold

First time going to Five Guys, so my experience is based on a first impression. - The burger I ordered was good, they have lots of options for toppings at no extra cost. Service at the register was decent, but the people working on the food in my mind were below standards. It seemed like there were quite a few people behind the counter, but not a lot of activity or productivity to get orders out.

No combo options. If you want a burger, fries and drink, then you have to buy each separately, that'll take a person easily to the $20/person range, which seems excessive for a fast food restaurant. Lunch or dinner at Culver's for the two of us usually is about $20-21 and that includes burgers, fries and drink. Another perspective we ate at Texas Roadhouse the day before and we could do steak dinner options for a cheaper price than what Five Guys does for a dinner or lunch option.

Also it seemed like it took awhile to get our food. Now I realize it just opened a few months ago, but for the amount of people working behind the register, and the seemingly low amount of people ordering in the store...I felt like this place would get overwhelmed during a lunch hour rush. Also maybe take a lesson from that chicken place next door that just opened up. Those guys are friendly, fast, and still deliver a quality product while maintaining competitive prices.

Lastly, my opinion the extra toppings for burger options are at no extra charge, but it seemed to me that the individual cost for each type of burger is what it should cost if it came with the works, not just the plain sandwich. So while the no charge on extra toppings is nice, they make up for it by overpricing burgers...

We were there 7/27 around one in the afternoon, it was our first time and ngl was excited to try it because of all the hype it gets.

The first thing when we got in the casher asked if it was our first time, when we said yes she acted like it was a chore to gave the bare basic explanation of the menu.

My s/o ordered, rushed by the lady and when he paused she pushed for my order. Finished telling her then told her my s/o wasn't done yet. Trying to order was ridiculous with her because you didn't have a moment to decide what to put on the burger - there was no one waiting in line behind us and the restaurant wasn't exactly full.

One man ordered right before us, an older couple ordered after us about five minutes after we paid amd it appeared two other couples had been waiting for their orders before we got there.

None of the three people working very friendly but still more polite than Tracy C (the cashier).

We waited close to a half hour or more for our food, the older couple after us got theirs first.

It was very underwhelming, food was bland and both our burgers were squished - imo not worth $37.27 for two burgers, one large fry and two...
