On Sunday, July 27, 2025, my wife and I stopped by for lunch. Upon entering there was no one to take orders at the counter. It took approximately 1-2 minutes before someone showed up to take our order. He immediately informed us that they were completely out of roast beef and the orange dream milkshake that was a featured advertised item. So I ordered the brisket sandwich with curly fries combo and my wife ordered the deluxe hamburger, no pickle and no cheese with crinkle cut fries. He then informed us that they were out of the crinkle cut fries as well so we substituted for the potato cakes instead. When the order came, which took about 15 minutes, my wife’s hamburger had the pickles and cheese on it which she requested not be on it.so I took it back and it took an additional 10 minutes to get her sandwich replaced . Now mind you when we entered the store, there was no else except the crew. But shortly after we ordered, there were a few more customers but our order was first and two of the ones who ordered after us received their orders first. I will have to say that they were short staffed with only three employees but one of those went to the restroom shortly after we ordered and stayed away in there the entire time we were there eating our lunch. I’m not sure what the problem was that day, but for a chain restaurant to run out of a major component I feel is inexcusable. Not only did two double beef n cheddars that were ordered come out with as much meat as a single but they forgot a whole double roast beef sandwich entirely leading my dad to have to charge that to the order despite explicitly being stated. Leading them to have to remake it. Which in of that was a challenge for them as that took an additional 15 minutes. It wasn’t even busy in the drive thru or inside with other guests so it wasn’t an issue of the whole place being slammed. I’ve worked in food service before and there was zero transparency on the level of the workers who have to deal with the customers. Read moreI call Arby's in Auburn to find out if they had inside dining and was told their restaurant patrons were still not allowed to come in but the Arby's in Opelika was open to order and eat inside. So, even though I live in Auburn, I went to the Opelika Arby's because I dislike eating in my car. Got there and found out their dining room was not open. I opted to go through the driveway, another thing I detest about fast food establishments. I was in line for 17 min before I even got to order. After more waiting I got their regular roast beef sand and coke. I ate in my car in the parking lot. Then went to run some errands. Within 20 min my body was violently wanting to get rid of what I had just eaten. Found a bathroom, felt sick and went home. I hadn't had any stomach problems in at least 5years.
