Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Opelika

Giving one star is not even worthy after my experience last night !

I went in at 830pm last night to get a sandwich, because I love jersey mikes . I go on a weekly basis . I just flew In from California , and this was my first stop back home . There was no other customers in store . I had 4 sandwiche orders I needed . The lady asked what I wanted and I told her on the first sandwich I would like the Italian, but could you put the bread on the grill for a sec it to steam it and soften it. She told me that the bread is already soft enough. I said I am aware of that but this is how my husband always gets his bread. She then proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t going to help the bread but whatever. So I overlooked that and went on to my next sandwich order. On my next sandwich , I ordered the club. Every time I have been to a Jersey Mike’s, I get the meat as a hot sub. She gave me this disgusting look and then said “ what, you want it in the microwave?”. I said no, they usually just put it on the grill and heat up the meat and melt the cheese. She said that’s against the rules. I can’t do that. I said well that’s how I always get it. She said I’ve been working here 12 years and I’m not doing that. I said well on the customer do you not usually listen to how the customer likes their sandwiches? After that, I told her just forget about it we will go to firehouse. She said “Good”! I am a nurse and I take a lot of things on a daily basis from patients, but the customer is always right . She was so unprofessional. I have never been treated like that . I don’t understand how it can be so hard to just make a hot sub . And I was only customer in store !!! If this is who this location hires now , I will stay away . So disappointed. It’s not that hard to be nice to people, especially paying customers!

😬😬😬😬😬 i used to come here alllll the time back in the day when i used to run here for lunch back in the 2007,8,9ish days. They were quick and efficient and it was nice and clean. I came here recently after ordering online because I took my kid to the doctor in the plaza, and well, i regret it. They said online u can walk in and get your sub from some place inside (to go shelf or counter or something). I got inside. There were 3 women working feverishly, so I have no complaints about that, but there was no pick-up counter or area or whatever, and no way to talk to one of them. The line was super long and since there was no grab and go situation i had to go and get my sick kid out of the car (which is why i ordered to go; also I could see him, so dont panic) but i ended up having to wait in the line anyway. Then, not their fault, but my kid was sick, so i had to take him to the restroom, so i lost my place in line and came back to an even longer line to wait in. Incidentally, I had time to look around, and in that moment, I noticed how dingy it seemed. Kinda gas station like. Posters posted everywhere, new paint needed in some spots, very crowded. I imagine it was uncomfortable for the people eating cause so many people were standing next to them trying to order. It really was uncomfortable. I finally got to the front, said what i needed, and said my name, and my sandwich was handed to me. It was soggy when i got home because of what I ordered and how long it had sat there. I was disappointed in that moment and because of that i dont think I'll be going...

I had taste for me a mike’s Philly from jersey mike’s and it was the worst. No one greeted me as I enter the restaurant. I couldn’t figure out if the boy making my food even worked there he had on black hat and cowboy boots. I said no peppers extra onions. He did not listen at all.. my daughter ordered a club sub which the man made it but forgot to take his hair out of my sandwich I didn’t order hair in my food… they was very rude about it. when I asked for my sandwich to be made the way I asked. He threw it away with attitude. I asked for a refund then he didn’t know how to do it no manager on duty. Someone needs to do something about this. Workers with long hair should wear a hairnet and be in proper uniform don’t work in customer service if u can’t do the job. When I asked for a manager it’s wasn’t one there WOW!!!!!
