Haven’t been to Moe’s in over a year so not sure if today’s experience is the new norm or what. There were 8 people in front of us and It took about 15 minutes to reach the first phase of the ordering. Super slow but okay so far. The next phase is usually the fastest as they plop whatever you want on your chips - chicken, pico, beans, cheese, sour cream, etc. and slide it down the line to the register. This part took another 15 minutes to the point where my nachos were completely soggy. They just sat there waiting to be pushed down the line as another worker kept adding orders in front of it. It was weird. Maybe those were door dash or something. I asked if they could just hand them to me and let me move down and pay. The lady just looked at me like I had 3 heads. As I watched the chaos, this guy serving looked like he was absolutely lost. Didn’t know the difference between cilantro and lettuce. Bless him. And he wiped his nose and forehead every 15 seconds with the back of his forearm. Literally every 15 seconds as sweat dripped from his face. All of this was so unreal that I didn’t even care about my nachos anymore. I just wanted some popcorn to eat while I watched all of this from the other side of the glass. When I finally got to the register, it had been 31 minutes since I walked in the door. Like I said, maybe this is the new norm. But I liked it much better when I would walk thru the door and a bunch of high energy surfer-like kids would shout out...
Read moreWe were already super hungry when we walked in at 1pm, after having no luck at a couple other restaurants, but the line at Moe’s was by far the longest. Granted, the place was busy but it wasn’t due to the sheer number of people, rather it was the snail pace of the employees. They were by no means understaffed, with 7 people up front, but the line was going nowhere fast. We didn’t get to the front to order until 1:45 and it took another 15 to get through the line to the checkout. One of us ordered a cup of queso, and mentioned it multiple times after no one made a move to get it. When we got to the register, the cashier was unnecessarily rude, definitely looked like she didn’t want to be there. The queso still hadn’t been added to the order, but we didn’t notice because the lady made her pay before her food was ready, so we didn’t realize until she had already paid and when she brought it up, the lady made it seem like a huge inconvenience, over charged the queso by $3, and after a few more minutes she slid it across the counter before mumbling under her breath, “Some customers, like I’m making your food you don’t have to be so rude.” The food was the only half decent part of the experience, and honestly we would’ve left a 0 star review...
Read moreWe travel alot and have eaten a many food establishments, but we have never eaten at a restaurant more filthy as Moe's was tonight.
The greeter who took our order rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders when we were trying to establish the sizes of the various burrito options. She was definitely needing to go home. She was borderline rude.
The food line was despicable. Half the food was out of their containers all down the line. It appears, the food line had not been cleaned or refreshed all day.
I asked for sour cream and all I got was a runny mess. They tried 5 different bottles on my burrito and not one container had anything but watery liquid. This of course made the burrito impossible to eat.
And finally, the chips were so salty that they were not edible.
It was very evident that there was no management on the premises. Of if there was, they need to be retrained.
Moe's is better than this. A lot...
